In the current market, PEA is worth no more than £40 million and that is being generous .
The Garbonese is over hyped and will struggle in the EPL.

Awful amount of money for a player whose country will be hosting the African Cup from January through February.

As awful as this sounds that's not a bad price in todays market.

Lukaku and Sterling are close to 50m so for a player who's actually good 65m doesn't seem so bad anymore.

Still think he could be signed for 50-55m anyway - don't believe the paper talk and Dortmund players tend to go for a reasonable price.

He hasn't even scored at the Euro Ffs

If City are hesitant about paying that, there is no way that we will pay that.

Don't understand comments like these.

Past two years, Kane and Vardy have terrorised the leagues defences, both from pretty obscure backgrounds.

Wtf makes you categorically say that Aubameyang will 'struggle'? Does he have less quality than the former two players?

Conjecture at its highest.

to be fair he has been banging them in at the copa america, arguably a tougher tournament.

I don't blame them hee's not much better than Vardy tbh just younger. Wouldn't pay anywhere near that for him.

OP
You must be dreaming if u think we got any chance of signing him mate, wenger would rather sign some uknown from Fulham than him mate

I don't think price tag or salary should even be a consideration for the fans. If I were an Arsenal, the only consideration for me would be "would Aubameyang be a huge step up on what we currently have, based on what we have seen him achieve at Dortmund?" The answer is clearly a resounding yes. If Wenger can make it happen for you it would be a tremendous signing.

If we sign Aubamayeng then they might as well just hand us the league title. That is how Wenger should look at it.

Problem is Sterling and Lukaku are ridiculously overpricced, so we can't just be using their value as a marker. How much did Lewandowski go for? How much did Douglas Costa go for? How much did we buy Alexis?

I've watched Aubameyang tons of times, and while I think he's better than Giroud, he still strikes me as someone who might struggle in the PL.

Never gonna happen according to Wenger, he is looking for young talent from the French market.

‘At the moment most of the young talented players are from France,’ said Wenger.
‘We speak about [Anthony] Martial, [Kingsley] Coman, who are still 20.
‘I saw a very interesting talent the other day to come on for Turkey – Mor. He has just signed for Dortmund. I was very impressed by his talent. There are other players like Sane from Germany, who has not played yet.’
The Gunners have been linked with Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette, while Belgium ace Michy Batshuayi plays for Marseille.

Acon is on way too often-needs scaled back to 4 years like euros / WC. Bit of a waste of time as a tournament.

Lewandowski was free. Everyone knows that Sterling fetched that price due to his English premium.

Aubameyang is easily worth the price; he isn't as clinical as Vardy, but long term he will provide great value, especially when he is sold to Real. He is a top striker, and will be world class under the right tutelage. Wenger misses him the first time, let's not do it again.

Euro's, Copa America and ACON which he actually plays in!!!!!

And even if we signed him and he does go to ACON for a month or two, thats about how long Giroud can maintain his best form for, so if we keep him as well we should have players who can perform for a whole season between them rather than the 2 months we have now.
