Good. Now i can stop trying to convince most Arsenal fans that signing Vardy will be like when Liverpool signed Lallana

From Ornstein:

Vardy set to reject Arsenal & stay at Leicester. No final decision yet but favouring #LCFC. #AFC won't improve offer, pursuing other options

Good news IMO, haven't wanted him throughout the duration of this story. Key question I suppose is who are the other options we are pursuing.

Ornstein has confirmed that Vardy is likely to reject Arsenal

Morata!!
Welcome to Arsenal.

Things are bad for Arsenal if they can't attract a Leicester player...

According to Wenger he wants to exploit the French market.

‘At the moment most of the young talented players are from France,’ said Wenger.
‘We speak about [Anthony] Martial, [Kingsley] Coman, who are still 20.
‘I saw a very interesting talent the other day to come on for Turkey – Mor. He has just signed for Dortmund. I was very impressed by his talent. There are other players like Sane from Germany, who has not played yet.’
The Gunners have been linked with Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette, while Belgium ace Michy Batshuayi plays for Marseille.

Scenes if Vardy stays and Mahrez and Kante leave the club.

If he really going to reject Arsenal I say he is not the right player for a big club. Small club mentality. I respect his decision though.

Let's be honest he wouldn't have replaced Wenger and would have played out wide like welbeck

no point him staying and the others going, but I think he made a good decision if he stays

You wanted Vardy to be our next manager?

Wonderful news. I've opposed this potential transfer from the moment I heard about it. Vardy has made the right decision. Everything works for him at Leicester. Had he joined us, he'd be at West Brom in a few years.

Leicester anyway second game of the season. Inevitably Vardy will score

Fine. As long as we win the game all is good.

Very glad this is happening. Need a top striker long-term not a 2 season player.

With welbeck missing the season and ox probably in and out with injuries, I think Wenger will be leaning towards a wide forward

Our fans are such a bunch of spoiled brats.

Vardy not good enough for us?! Who else is realistically available out there and who won't time to adapt before scoring 20+ goals?

What makes you think he would?

Hes done that at the top level once in his career

he would also then have to adapt to a new playing style not built around him like at leicster. If he was going to go to you i dont think he would of got past 10 in the league tbh.

Well, he has already done it in THIS league with an inferior midfield so I guess it is safe to think he can do it again.
As for the playing style, who say we can't play long ball? We shown in the past two seasons that against the big team, with some good defensive drills (and Cazorla) that we can sit back and abosrb the pressure. Plus, we just bought Xhaka who is really good at long ball. If really needed, we could adopt that approach but nothing suggest that Vardy can't play our current style either.

If this turns out to be true I honestly think it suits all parties concerned. He has recently bought a new house locally, is adored by the fans and will score more goals for us than he would for Arsenal. Horses for courses.

Heard the interview directly. So its 100% correct.

It is a very poor reflection on Wenger that he couldn't persuade him to join.

Not sure how it suits us unless of course you happen to be one the dwindling few who like Giroud.
