Rooney has to be top, he makes a long pass and all of a sudden he's Paul Scholes.. It's utterly embarrasing and completely disrespectful to Paul Scholes.

And I don't like Paul Scholes as a person but he was a quality player...

Phil Jones isn't overrated. Most people know he's shiiiiiiit.

Jones is overrated. The guy is the worst centre back at Man Utd. Smalling, Blind, Rojo, Mcnair and Blackett are all better than him.

But nobody really rates him. Thst is literally the opposite of overrated.

Olivier Giroud is underrated. Not good enough but still his contribution is underrated.

Hate the term overrated as how a player performs can be subjective. But more importantly people have very diverse opinion on players and how good they are.

Take Wayne Rooney for instance, he splits people two ways a lot of the time - some saying he's world class whilst some others call him overrated.

Same goes with using underrated. I have heard so many people describe certain players as underrated (like Ramires for instance), sometimes to a certain that the particular player could no longer be called underrated, as so many people rate them.

They don't rate him that highly, but I know a lot of Man Utd fans think he's better than Rojo for example even though Rojo is much better. He's overrated even if he isn't rated that highly anyway.

Giroud is overrated. How the dude is the starting striker for Arsenal and France makes me lose faith in humanity.

Broquin, you make a good point but none of the players I've listed have crossed that threshold to the point where they've become underrated again in my opinion.

Well yeah because Rojo has been shiiiiit as well. That doesn't make Jones overrated, just means Rojo is as shiiiiit as him, which he has been.
