Should've brought on Rashford instead of Kane. Just no penetration (as the actress said to the bishop).
It's ok we still have Vardy to play from the start.........oh wait.......

Rested too many players
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yeah cause those players scored shed loads vs Russia and Wales
I actually think Kane and Rashford could be a great partnership
I thought the build up was ok, the finishing on the other hand was terrible as it has been all tournament. I know I'll get hate for saying this but Rooney was shocking when he came on.
Its the Spurs players. Kane is grabage and dier holds onto the ball for about 6 touches when in loads of space and when there are simple passes on.
England will get the large portion of blame tonight from everyone but I'm seriously sick to death of watching opposition teams put 11 men behind the ball.
Why not try Kane and Rashford? We're pi_ sh anyway so why not throw caution to the wind?
It's like watching United, pass, pass, pass, pass, move breaks down on edge of box
Rested too many players

Bringing on the rested players flattened the game.
So that's what happens when Vardy plays against a deep defensive line. Genuinely forgot he was on the pitch for most of that second half
He should stay at Leicester for his own good.

Vardy and Lallana (again) missing our best chances probably. Rooney was bad but so was Wilshere, Clyne our best player with Hendo surprisingly. Sturridge wasn't sharp looked like he wasn't up for it at all, probably being the hypercondriac he is.
Is pretty shocking given our attacking resources.
- Rooney whilst keeps it ticking over, is not incisive, most passes go wide, nearly 100% of the time. He does try and dictate from deep, and does a decent job of keeping it going. Pirlo he ain't though.better than Wilshire though.
- clyne looked decent. Of the two much vaunted ex Southampton fullbacks much better than Shaw going forward.
- gane was crying out for rashford.
- smalling, aside a mistake, looks good.
I thought the subs were wrong. Vardy should have gone off and Sturridge and Lallana kept on.
Vardy really doesn't do much when the opponents are that deep.

Agreed Rooney was dreadful.
Slovakia and Russia both very poor sides who we should have swept aside.
Woy's tactics and subs have been baffling, the game was crying out for pace and width so he brings on Kane
Disappointing in the end, but I can't agree that we didn't work their keeper. Vardy's chance in the first half is a goal every time in the PL. I think Lallana had a good shot on target as well.
Maybe it was just the way I saw it, but I thought we completely dominated a team that needed something more than we did.
Can't really complain about the performance and at the end of the day we're through.

Fair points. Rooney is replacing Gerrard as the person most likely to attempt the 'Hollywood pass.'

Will come alive now though.
I'm working until 8.30 mon night so thats gutted me the most as I'm off all weekend and would've been able to watch the game Saturday. Nevermind
I dont want to be critical of England too much other than possibly starting the game with a quicker incentive.
We definetly lack that real world class individual talent though, but it would be unjust to put too much pressure on alot of these players in this tournament.
Still,we're through.
