Has he done a good job with the USA really?
And his knowledge of the English game is limited to playing 1 season with Spurs.
Still, would rather him than feckin Southgate.

More than Capello and Sven had Plus he managed Germany and Bayern Munich he would have learnt a lot there.

His win % as Germany manager was the same as Hodgsons for England.

If we want a top coach and he has to be german why not Jupp Heynckes? Did an immence job at Bayern a few season ago. I know hes old but he could easily do a job and has managed at the top level.
You want a break from it then change your genuinely ridiculous username.
Just looked at the article on Sky Sports which the headline reads;
England job of interest to Klinsmann'
Then article its self;
"Jurgen Klinsmann is intrigued by the possibility of managing England, Sky sources understand"

Excellent manager but would he want to put his reputation on the line for this job? Not to mention the stress of it at his age.
Klinsmann has gone off the radar and seems to be in a limbo career wise, maybe perfect for him.

Klinnsman is useless.
USA have been clamouring for his sacking for a good year now.
tactically inept, plays players out of position, alienates people, little experience of league management, little success in general.
Go for it. It'd be a blast

He couldn't even get USA to qualify for the last two Olympics.

Better than Southgate

Not exactly setting high standards in that case. may as well go back to McLaren.

Who else is going to take the job? There's not a big name out there who will touch it, even Bilic has said not a chance
fecked if I know, but I'd love to see england hire a coach based on your criteria of:
1. Knows England
2. Speaks english.
here's to 4 more years
And the fact hes got International and experience at a giant club
Personally I wouldn't be against seeing what Southgate can do with England.
His time with Middlesbrough was pretty poor but he's done well with the U21 - his record is P33; W26; D4; L3. And that's with much of the U21 talent picked off by the full side.
Joachim Loew hadn't done much as a manager before starting with the national team (as assistant), in fact he seemed to relegate teams and get fired within a season! But he had fresh ideas and an attacking intent.
I don't know if that's true of Southgate but if he has some new ideas then why not - far rather him than another 'Uncle Roy' 60 year old type manager.
The problem of the logic of Southgate having done well for the U21s and therefore deserves a shot is Stuart Pearce.
He did a pretty good job with the u21s, but didn't get the England job. His career has died since. There are many parallels between the two of them.
Wouldn't fill me with confidence.
That said, I genuinely don't know who is available, or would even take the job.

I'm pretty sure there would be plenty of examples of U21 managers stepping up and doing well, plenty flopped too. I just can't be arssed to look them up!
I'm not a Southgate fan, just not against his appointment on the basis of experience if he has good ideas. I just want someone younger who plays with a bit of invention. Pearce isn't relevant.
