If you read the DFP article at http://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/sport/mansfield-town-sign-jordan-wheatley-from-ilkeston-fc-1-7994267
you might conclude that the Bolton youngster (who might not have been anticipated to be available in January) is a better prospect anyway, having successfully come through Championship games, compared with one who has shown potential at 5 levels lower. The NPL is two below the old Conference.

Quite right Donaldo, we are not in a position to wait two or three years.

Going Rosso tonight. Have my first look at the new players too. Maybe even try a pint to cool down during this summer heatwave 😂

Could it be the return of Paul Green???

Greeny. Signed. Clubs talking to Palace about Keshi on season loan, just need assurances he's fully fit. Plus 1 other one loan.

Greenie still not signed for us.
Now rumours about him going to Bolton.

He's always followed the money in the past. In one sense you can't blame him, but it would have been nice to have seen him at least appear to take the time to consider an offer from us following Wembley. I'm not sure that in his position I would have felt that I could expect the club he deserted to accommodate his pre-season training if he had no intention of even considering a long-term arrangement.

If money were not still paramount you would have thought that playing here (dare I say repaying something of a non financial debt) would be as satisfying as going to a struggling League 1 club?
