Any more news on Mata possibly moving to Everton?
I expect it all to end in sunshine and lollipops
I expect our best season since fergie left, doubt pogba is coming though
Even without Pogba I am optimistic of a better season. Mourinho is a better manager and motivator than Louis van Gaal. Last season there was a sense that a lot of our best players under-performed, and some of our youngsters struggled for confidence and form (specifically Depay). I would expect that to change this season. A fit Luke Shaw is a massive boost too.
My expectations:
- Less than 50% probability of Pogba signing for us.
- If he does, he'll improve our team.
I worry it'll be difficult to transform our way of playing, especially due to the Euros and mourinho having less time to impose his style on the team
Van gaal was very rigid and that may be hard to change overnight
I'm think that too, expecting the first months of the season to be solid but not exciting football, we will still struggle with breaking down tough teams set out to defend at first.
I agree with both RR's expectations.
I just don't see why Pogba would want to come back to United. He couldn't get away quick enough last time round.
I think Jose will have a different style but be just as rigid.
Probably in the top two or three, but not expecting the title. Hope for Better football. Hope he gives our youngsters plenty of game time.

He motivated them pretty well the season before didn't he?
He has the best win ratio of any Prem manager who has managed over 20 games. That suggests he is a pretty good motivator

Yes he did. But last season he effed it up. Didn't he?

This whole Pogba circus is getting on my tit5 now.
You would surely think that we'd have learned our lesson with the likes of Di Maria regarding players who in truth didn't actually want to join us . Smell the coffee Ed ffs .
It's Jose who wants him, more than Ed I would think. So no fault should lie with Woodward

One season in an otherwise glittering managerial career, yes, lets judge him on that.

You're right. In the same way that it's always sunny in Manchester because we had a good summer a few years ago, once. We can ignore the evidence of rainfall every other month for the last decade.
He had one season where the players threw their toys our because he sacked their bit on the side.
Throughout his career he has been hailed as a motivator, and we've all seen how tight nit his teams have been. His former players almost without exception can't speak highly enough of him.
But let's not let the truth get in the way of a silly argument. I put it to you that Sir Alex Ferguson's habit of not promoting youth is why we lost Pogba in the first place.
I wish I could do a silly yellow emoji now.
One season in an otherwise glittering managerial career

I suggest you put your todger back in your pants, stop biffing yourself, and read up on Jose. You seem to be totally unaware of the problems he has had at his clubs despite the success.

Yep guys, grab yerselves a copy of 'Jose Mourinho simply the best'.'All the way Jose' (both by Harry Harris) and 'The little book of Jose Mourinho' which is stuffed full of his hilarious quotes. Quality reading and a top guy
'The ego has landed'
I'm not sure, he's completely overvalued by a huge margin, and it seems he'd prefer Real to us (can't blame him too mich), but we have the silly money and are not afraid to use it, can real afford to get in a bidding war?
I reckon he will end up here.
It usually ends in tears with most managers. They either have to retire at your club or leave on a momentous high (bit like Pep but even he had groans)
Just enjoy the Jose rollercoaster. Its going to be intense.
