Fifa.
In the manager career mode this year they've added real managers which is well overdue, if they also add in a few more features to do with contracts and transfer fees such as being able to pay in instalments and release fees etc then I'll be very keen.
Obviously extremely interested to see what The Journey mode is like, could be a lot of fun.
I've heard the gameplay is much improved one recent seasons too.
I'll be getting Fifa as I always do, and it'll probably be average, but I'm a sucker. I do hope they prove me wrong though as The journey looks like a very fun mode.
Anyone who has played the NBA 2K games will know that the scripted storyline does nothing to add to the gameplay.
The Journey will be crap.
Ross it is good for a short while but then the whole rookie season nonsense and cut scenes did wear thin. But FIFA have to do something as the gameplay is so terrible and ridiculed by most.
PES gameplay was even worse but I think they are making strides atleast and trying new things.
What I found with the last editions of both games was that FIFA was simply boring. There was no variety between any of the teams, they all felt so generic and robotic, and there were only 6 ways to score a goal.
PES was far more interesting and expansive but seemed to be ridiculously weighted to attacking, leading to far too many high scoring games and making tactics seem pretty much worthless.
Through balls were bloody annoying too
PES was like kick rush to me, with a lack of control on the ball.
FIFA I just can't stand the slow play and lack of pass and move, where the ball continuously gets stuck underneath a players feet. Then add the dodgy ref decisions etc(which there's no excuse for as a game, if you win the ball first the game should process the info etc)
I'd say pes was marginally better this year, no way did it "smash" fifa.
Both games have their faults. On fifa it is ridiculously difficult to build attacks, on Pes it was way too easy. Every online game I had on Pes had a ridiculous scoreline, 5-4's, 3-4's, even 6-5's weren't uncommon.
As a result though, I had more fun on Pes. They also need to sort out the goalkeeping, which is a joke.

If they do everything that is promised ill buy both on day 1.
They never do so prob get pes 2017 around march next year when its less than half price.
Just like a game with better tactics. PES yes has the better game play but player ai works better in FIFA. Well CFC are life like, everyone stands about and no one helps to attack
Well this probably my last year buying a football sim and I predict PES to win again for the 3rds year on the trott.
They sort out their GK's and they've smashed it!
FIFA was only good due to Konami's lack of form on the PS3, barring 2011 and 2013!
Only thing about PES for me is lack of game modes, esp with regards to teamplay

Havent played Fifa16 but I still regularly play 15. Got a dece career mode going on, but I find it a real shame that you cannot quit a club and manage elsewhere. I hope they allow this on 17. I remember this being a possibility on previous editions so I cannot fathom why they took this away.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So they can use that on their list of very minimally positive additions to their new games list of new features.
