Baba won't go to big an investment to sell after a year though unless he improved was a pretty useless purchase. Think Remy will go though. Oscar and Mikel will also probably stay.
If we assume we're playing 4-4-2 / 4-2-4 then with that squad we ideally need a new full bank (right or left sided depending on where Azpilicueta plays)
We're never getting rid of Oscar and especially Mikel unfortunately
Chelsea still need at least one wing back and at least one more centre back. Another midfielder wouldn't go amiss and a striker that won't moan and get sent off every three minutes.
Problem is that the players we're looking to sell have big fees and/or wages but are not top quality.
Baba was an absolute disaster last season, I can't believe someone can perform so poorly in their line of work and not be moved on.
To answer your question, I'd be worried going into the season with that team. I don't even know who that bashuyakuyuyyii guy is... Just seems like another weak footballer like Traore...
Think we need another striker and definitely a central defender... Bonucci was brown nosing Conte this morning so maybe... Just maybe... Big fooking maybe....
Courtois, Begovic, Blackman
Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, KOULIBALY, Azpi, Zouma, LB
KANTE, Fabregas, Matic, Loftus Cheek, Mikel
Willian, Hazard, Pedro, Cuadrado, TURAN
Costa, BATSHITE, Traore, STRIKER
First team:
Courtois
Azpi Zouma Koulibaly LB
Willian Kante Fabregas Hazard
Costa Batshite
Back up:
Begovic
Ivan Cahill Terry -
Turan Matic Mikel Pedro
Traore Striker
Looking at that squad it is probably slight overkill. Can't see us having Pedro, Cuadrado and Turan. Probably only one of them tbh.
But that is a seriously strong first team/squad.
What I like most about the squad is there are very capable players who could challenge for the first team. Players like Pedro, Matic, Terry and Begovic on form could quite easily slot into the first XI no problem at all.
When did Chelsea sign Koulibaly ?
Ronny - Admitedly, denfisively Baba was very dodgey, but, his atacking play was good in the 2nd half of the season. So, I am not willing to dissmiss him just yet. Aferall he is stil young, energetic, dynamic and tireless etc.. I can see Conte using as a wingback. Baba'a work rate will be too much to be ignored by Conte. Forget about Bonucci , Juve are reluctant to sell even for untold, stupid money, so it's better to move on in this cases. I'd be very happy with Koulibaly signing. He a solid defender, good in the air and brilliant ball distribution, who often plays on defensive high line would complement Zouma, Cahill and JT
I would be happy for us to sell Costa if we could replace him with a better player...............but it would most likely have to be someone unheard of as i can't see any big name strikers being available for us........
I'm not convinced by Baba at all, He looks so shaky. If we have aspirations to challenge for the title then this guy should be nowhere near the team, Filipe Luis was decent in his first season, Didn't overly impress and was shipped back out the following year, Why not Baba?
Cuchillo, Juve recently signed Benatia on loan so it's very possible Bonucci could be on his way out.
As full back signings go i thought we were nailed on to sign Lichtsteiner. He'd do a job for a couple of years, I've heard that Aina has travelled to Austria so hopefully he can impress when given the chance.

Costa is a quality striker who WILL score 20 goals a season. He scored 16 last season and that was deemed a poor season. The better strikers are all at top clubs... Aguero, Lewandowski, Suarez, Benzema, Muller etc

----------------------------------------------------------------------
If these two are happy being rarely used squad players then so be it because I don't see either getting much game time next season.
Oscar frustrates me so much, He can look like a world beater one game and dross the next 3.
I wouldn't be too sad to see Costa leave at this stage. All signs point towards him being not happy here and wanting to go back to Spain.
I understand that it's not easy to replace him but if Leti are willing to pay us £40 million for Costa then unless our scouts and transfer team are totally useless we should be able to find at least a decent replacement with that money.
Yup Oscar just isn't suited to the PL for me and that's the main problem because he is a decent player on his day. He's just too lightweight though and would probably flourish in Serie A.

I would be gutted to see Costa leave. We haven't had much luck with strikers
----------------------------------------------------------
I've seen lots of good strikers at Chelsea in my time - Drogba, Anelka, Crespo, Hasselbaink, Gudjohnsen, Zola, Vialli to name a few.
We had a bad experience with Torres and the club were at fault for persisting with him for as long as they did when he clearly wasn't working but we shouldn't let that scar us.
Costa is replaceable. We can do just as good if not better if we buy well. Personally I've grown tired of Costa's repetitive antics and his recurring injuries aren't going to get any better in this physical league.
Costa is a must stay, What better strikers are available? Please nobody suggest Lukaku, The guy is garbage. Costa is clinical and I'd love to see him work under the passion of conte, they seem like they'd work well together, Like Costa under Simeone.

Can't believe how many of you would be willing to see Costa leave. So short minded. In the 13 years Abramovic has been at the club. Drogba and Anelka are the only two other consistently top strikers we've had. Two! I rated Crespo. And on paper he scored one in every 2 and half games for us. But he was nowhere near as imposing as Costa or Drogba.
Top Strikers are so hard to replace. I would have thought our fans would have learned that over our recent history.

In my view Vialli is the only one that Costa betters......I think we have let our standards slip with him as a CF. was better

I don't know of any, so i tend to agree with you, but just because we don't know any should not mean the player is not out there..................we need to find the next unknown top striker, other clubs do it so why can't we?.
