That's weird, I was just logging on to make the same OP.

I would say great minds think alike, but.....

I thought that the IDP/PPR league was a one off as a way of beta testing some potential rule changes, are we running it again this year?

I always end up in too many leagues and it ruins my enjoyment of my two main ones (this one and my live one).

I'm probably only down for the main league for the moment anyway.

As for the main league rules, I personally loved the IDPs, I think they added something different, in that you weren't simply praying not to get a negative score from your D, sometimes the D could actually win you games. I wasn't too keen on the PPR rules, it resulted in average WRs scoring the same as some top WRs, that's just my opinion though.

Yeah mick, i put both up and kept them active as an insurance policy to having to start everything from scratch.

I liked IDP too and agree that ppr was a bit excessive for avg receivers, and 3rd down backs.

I also think we should consider -1 point for missing PAT or something to make kickers more of a prominent part in the game?
Perhaps an extra bonus for 50 yarders?

Other than that, Im kind of out of suggestions, short of making a keeper league, but I have 3 of those in NBA and those are effort...but id be open to suggestions.

How have you run it in the past?

posted on 19/7/16

10 or 12 teams depending on the year, standard scoring apart for first season when we simplified it and gave QBs 1 point per 10 passing yards, but that kind of overpowered the qb.

posted on 19/7/16

So, standard would be(?):

Offense:

Passing, Rushing, Receiving TD 6 points
Passing Yards 1 point for every 25 yards
Rushing, Receiving Yards 1 point for every 10 yards
2-point conversion 2 points
Passing INT Minus-2 points
Fumble Lost Minus-2 points

Field Goal
0-49 yards = 3 points
50-plus = 5 points
Extra Point 1 point

Defense:

Defensive/Special Teams TD 6 points
Safety 2 points
Interception 2 points
Fumble Recovered 2 points
Sack 1 point

Points Against, Total Points Scored:

0-6 = 8 points
7-3 = 6 points
14-20 = 4 points
21-27 = 2 points
28-plus = 0 points

Yards Allowed:
0-49 points = 12 points
50-99 points = 10 points
100-149 points = 8 points
150-199 = 6 points
200-249 = 4 points
250-299 = 2 points
300-plus = 0 points

Which site are you using?
Automated draft or do you run one 'offline' on here?

Sorry about all the Qs, just want to make sure I fully understand the set up.

I'd prefer PPR/IDP, but happy to join standard if there's a spot available in either.

Nfl.com standard scoring

We draft online, but not automated (unless you want to)

We ran the second league to test out some rule changes for the main league this year, not sure what everyone thinks about implementing them yet.

Finally, most importantly........

Micks right he is the man to beat, finish lower and its pretty embarrassing

The second league was quite messy i felt last year, maybe it was just down to all the injuries

posted on 22/7/16

Digby, Im putting you in then for the main league?

You got any suggestions to add, or want to support one of the recommended changes?

posted on 22/7/16

I'll go with whatever's going, i think keep the main as it is, we could add 1 defensive player choice, but im not that worried as i like the consistency we have currently

posted on 22/7/16

Who else wanted in this year? There's the other Texans guy on here, i think he changed his name and someone else?

posted on 22/7/16

Not even a name check!!! The Sacko's shall compete, and crush!!!!

posted on 22/7/16

Also, I'm happy with standard, I'm happy with no defensive player, mainly I'm happy just to have to opportunity to beat my 8 game winning streak. And maybe make it towards the end of the season, rather than the useless start....

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I hereby accept invitation to the NFL Fantasy 2016 regular season.

I hereby accept kicking all your stinking asses.

I hereby accept your praise, as you bow down to me being crowned your King of 2016.

I only deal in absolute truths. I have spent my off season in a Jedi-like Temple not far from where Bruce Wayne learnt his trade.
Not so much the League of Shadows, no no...
But I will cast my Shadow over this League!

You have been warned!

That's Eagles Country.

A switch of allegiance to America's greatest team on the cards?
