Standard practice no? Use interest from another club to inflate the price or get a new deal for a player at their current club?

Would you not take him at Everton?

Personally I don't think it is an area for concern at the mention for the club. But maybe the boss thinks differently

More pressing is a CB, Goalkeeper and a forward/replacement for Mirallas if they can shift him out

posted on 20/7/16

They've got Barkley for that role.

No one will pay £27m for Wijnaldum.

yeah that makes sense Arouna, anyone from Southampton you'd liek Koeman to bring with him?

Also just interested from the ROI perspective but do you see Gibson playing much if he's fully fit?

Forster. But if he would be interested in a move?

He has plenty of ability and could do a good job. But I see him being moved on and wouldn't be happy for him being at the club after his drink driving activity.

Unmm, only one small flaw with your theory Arouna,

It's bollocxs.

Lets be honest Koeman or no Koeman the kid isn't swapping St James for Goodison. (now't good about it squire, false advertising at it's most audacious)

So nobody is under any illusions hence no price shift. I mean nobody would be able to keep a straight face. having said that if Everton want him, I would be happy to watch them make giant helmets of themselves trying to get him. Try up bidding the big boys and you will get left with a rather large and rather over priced logturd. Lakaku esque.

It's nice to see that despite your false dawn of super spending you still have that massive inferiority complex over Liverpool, who burn cash, much to your envy.

Get them paper jams sorted A-Roon.

I bid you adieu.

What Mclanelli is saying is that no one seriously believes that Wijnaldum would choose Everton over Liverpool hence Liverpool won't increase the bid.

It's a fair point.

From what I've seen of him he's not worth the reported asking price so you'd be most certainly welcome to him, you have a history of overspending on players - could well be another if you sign him.

Lots of clubs are guilty of overspending, £27m on this kid would fall into the same bracket.

It's a clever move on the part of Ashley, he isn't forced to sell and the lad appears to be in demand, as others pointed out......how did he get that price tag !!

posted on 20/7/16

Doubt he would command the £27m asking price.

Of course the selling club looking for the best deal they can, with Mike Ashley at the helm will look to rip off completely.

11 goals 5 assists in a relegated team..

How much is Ross Barkley worth and what were his achievements last season?

He would be worth whatever someone is willing to pay for him.

Played in a struggling side, that made last four of two cups and got a few goals. Similar to the lad at Newcastle.

But thankfully he isn't looking for a move and his dip in form post Xmas and the recent takeover means he isn't for sale and it's not him being chased

posted on 20/7/16

8 goals and 8 assists for Ross, so would people expect his transfer fee to push £20/25/27m?

I doubt anyone would offer that for him and he wouldn't be worth it either

Everton finished mid table quite comfortably.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

A value placed on him not by me

As I said, he is only worth the value another club put against him.

11th is struggling, especially with a player valued at £60m

deal worth up to £25m agreed.

Not bad, knew Rafa wouldn't stand in his way.

You support Everton.

Full season tickets are too expensive for your lot, that's why the club sells them in halves.
