Are Spurs Improving their XI

The biggest change and improvement to the first XI this season will be that everyone is a year wiser.

When your average age is around 24 at the start of one season, an extra year experience should go some way to improving the first XI.

Not having to play Harry Kane virtually every game should improve his performance at the business end. Perhaps he and Janssen may forge a particularly lethal partnership for home games. Who knows?

Being able to give Dier a break may well improve his performance, as well as gaving a like for like to come in, in Wanyama.

Letting Dele Alli or Eriksen sit games out may improve their performance. Heung Min Son and Bentaleb are possibly two players who may well have a good season without needung to sign anyone, and N'Koudou may be a revelation like Alli was.

To be honest, our first XI did not need much work. Too many games for them took its toll, and being light in key areas over the squad.

If other teams improve.....good for them. They needed to. We were much better than most of them - arguably just one we were not

I was really looking forward to seeing how Son starts the season, then find out today he is at the Olympics for our first games

Ace has got it absolutely spot on.

Our first eleven is excellent and all being well will get better through experience. We lacked strength in depth at CF and DM which we have addressed and have added direct pace and width with N'Koudou.

It will be interesting now to see who will be sold or loaned out. We could offload Fazio, Yedlin, Carroll and Mason without weakening the squad.

If Chadli and N'jie leave as rumoured then we will need another attack mid.

Finally the issue at CB, it will be interesting to see if we promote CCV or bring in another defender.

The problem with Fazio at present is that Espanyol will not pay a loan fee or a transfer fee and they want us to pay most of Fazio's wages as well!

Mane and Wilnajdum are over priced squad players, far from star quality, don`t let the price tags fool you

I have to agree with Billy, paying £60 for those two, Liverpool have been mugged right off.
