give him a 5 year contract

Season starts in just over 3 weeks and once again we have not done our business earlier.

You would have thought after 10 years of pain wenger would have learnt his lesson

OP. 100% - So sad but so true! You have written the type of article I was going to write if things hadn't changed (especially regarding the transfers) when the transfer window closed.

The other thing that puzzles me are the questions 'Are the AKBs blind who are blinded by their unquestioning loyalty to Wenger? Can't they honestly see what is going on? Are they being infiltrated by wums from other clubs?' At this rate this club is going to be torn apart from the inside. Like you said, this has been going on for far too long. Hopefully we get turned over by Liverpool like we got turned over by Man UTD 8 - 2 years ago. Maybe then, the AKBs will have a moment of clarity and join the protest. We should speak with one voice. Long live Arsenal. Arsenal forever!

The AKB say the same chit - Keep the faith and wait haha.

Wait for what exactly is my response? He has like the OP said made us into a laughing stock.

Wenger is bent on turning us into a laughing stock (imo he already has)

Wenger is destroying this club from within

He's a disease and we need him gone even if we have to sacrifice our souls to make that happen.

Who does a football fan sacrifice their soul to?

So we finish 2nd and it makes us a laughing stock?

So because of that you want us to finish lower than 10th?

Don't you get it? It's not finishing second that makes us a laughing stock. We are a laughing stock because we directly caused our not finishing first by not adequately strengthening . It is the worst kept secret in the premier league that we needed a clinical striker. Last season Wenger explained his lack of activity during the transfer window by saying that he expected other players to 'chip in' with goals, that didn't happen. Even during the winter transfer window there was a chance that we could turn things around. What did Wenger do? That's right...F all! (and it's happening again . That's why we are a laughing stock at a time other teams address their inadequacies.

Will finishing 11th help then? Id rather stay in top 4 and keep our players tbh

This maybe wishful thinking on my part:
But maybe Arsene and the club know that this is Arsene's last year at the club and thus dont want to give money to a guy who they know will soon be leaving!!!

It however doesn't explain the lack of transfer activity in the last few year tho

Laughing stock though! Come off it, you play CL football every year and won 2 FA cups in the past 3 years, it's hardly like you've wonnothign for years and dropped out of the CL

OP you sound spoiled and a bit ridiculous, look at what happened to united when Fergiwe left, coudl easily happen to Arsenal

posted on 22/7/16

I think Wengers been setting up for his successor for the last few years after watching how fergie left united, whoever takes over will have the likes of Sanchez, ozil and xhaka (best player in the world ever)

Another thing worth mentioning is that for the past 12 years we have continually finished between 2nd to 4th. This maybe good enough for you but for those of us with ambition for our club this is unacceptable. OP is suggesting essentially that we 'cut off our nose to spite our face.' It is radical but what do you do when nothing else works and the powers that be are stubbornly steadfast in what they do? You can't say that the fans haven't been patient. The fans have been so patient that the joke is now on us.

IMO it has come to a time when things have got to get worse before they can get better. OP is suggesting that the straw that breaks the camel's back could be finishing outside of the top four. This might make the powers that be, sit up and take notice if only because it might affect them financially.

How exactly will we come back from 11th? The prem doesn't have 4 top teams now.

please dont compare the 2 managers, 1 left as PL champs and the other has done nothing of note apart from 2 fa cups in 10 years.

Whats the worse that can happen if Wenger left? we wouldnt win the PL?? well thats not happening with wenger in charge.

CL is overatted, we are not going to win it and the money in the PL makes the CL lesser.

Understand why the WOBs are upset. We know that we do not have any divine right to win every competition that we participate in. But we insist that we put up a respectable challenge in every competition that we participate in, continually strengthen and learn from previous mistakes. At the moment, this isn't happening.

What powers that be? Kronke? He doesn't care, he's just moved his NFL team to LA. They have his full focus. He's a terrible owner. There are problems at all levels, its not just 1 man

Exactly, that is the reason why drastic action has to be taken. The 'powers that be' need to be made aware of the high levels of dissatisfaction at our club.
