Not a fan of Brown but in this instance he's absolutely right.

Rangers may or may not prove credible challengers. We simply don't know, they're a newly promoted team and have no pedigree in the top flight. Whereas Aberdeen have been the second best team in the country over the past couple of years.

If he had of said "Rangers will be our main challengers" people would have said it was disrespectful to Aberdeen and Hearts who have consistently performed in the topflight.

I expect Brown will find himself out of the team before the season is out.

It just follows on from Griffiths who questioned if we would stay up. All it does for me is show that Barton has been successful in winding people up.

Theres nothing wrong with Brown thinking Rangers aren't challengers and it will be Aberdeen who will be closest to them but its the wrong way to go about it. I'm also not really sure Brown is good enough for that bravado and arrogance anymore.
