Mind you, it's only a 4 hour time difference, so probably won't make that much difference to me.

Have to say I've lost interested in the Olympic games over the past few decades. The inclusion of team golf is the proverbial straw that has broken the camel's back for me.
I'm an avid golfer myself but the last thing the Games need is another team sport which makes it about 20 or so too many. The likes of football, rugby, basketball not to mention baseball soon, should have no place in the completion. And certainly no professional athletes.
It's all about money and commercialism. I fully understand the argument that without these sports and the celebrities they bring to the table the TV audience would be drastically reduced. But therein lies the fallacy of the modern games. Money, commercialism and greed.
For me and apparently for a very great and growing number of people, the Olympic Games should return to Greece on a permanent basis, be solely for amateurs and focus on the sports that it was intended for such as athletics, swimming and the martial arts.
Of course I'm not naïve enough to realise that this will ever happen given the drive and marketing of the greedy people who only have eyes for profit, so I will join the growing number of those who give and continue to give, the whole circus a wide berth.
