Kovalev looked sloppy in his last fight. Ward wasn't fully sharp but eased through the bout.
Kovalev isn't a bad boxer but Ward dances circles around him - I'd be surprised if Kovalev manages to trap him long enough to get a good shot in.
Yeah Ska that was my initial thoughts but looking more closely at kovalev, his ko record is pretty good.. Obviously ward is different kettle of fish though.
No doubt ward will attempt to move all night, but kovalev was able to neutralise Hopkins a few years bk who is horrible to box against, smart money is on ward points but I think kovalev can tag him enough to get a win
One thing for sure is winner is undisputed p4p num1
Probably the closest to Ward on Kovalev's resume is Hopkins and he won that convincingly. Though Hopkins was fast closing in on 50. Still, that sort of performance but better will be required.
This is a true super fight, two ATG boxers fighting in their prime at their weight
When was the last time that happened?
Yeah its pretty good. I hope the fight gets the attention it deserve from media and fans alike because at the moment it just looks like the hardcores...

There hasn't been a bigger fight in the last 10 year.
Unfortunately they haven't been beating their wives and being featured on TMZ, so it might not get that big coverage.
It is weird that many of the very best boxers around get absolutely no attention, effectively freezing them out of plenty of big fights, but the likes of chickens!t Canelo have huge fan bases.
Is this going to be Ward's first professional fight out of Oatlands?
I think it might be in Oakland. The venue has not been agreed as yet. Not sure.
Should be in Vegas
Oatlands?!
Blame my phone...
I fancy Ward to win this he has excellent defensive skills both on the outside and the inside.
Looking forward to this fight.
Ward on points.
Probably a UD.
Where's the fight taking place?

Super six tournament
It's in Oakland, sad really as it should be headlining Vegas
Sorry my mistake not in Oakland
Its at the T Mobile Arena, Las Vegas

I can hook you up
Thanks D. All jokes aside I really enjoy the knowledge you and others bring to this board although you don't post enough! This is an essential 'casual' information place where I can find out the latest big fight on the horizon even though there appears to be an anti British bias.

I don't see why not
In order to do that he'd have to either beat Ward up or steal the last 30secs - a minute of each round.
It's not impossible but against someone as crafty as award it'll be difficult.
