I read with interest, that the 'double triangle' manhole cover is favoured where heavier traffic is expected.

Who knew?

Indeed. I expect the person who wrote the article knew that though.

One of the more random threads on here, and that takes some doing......

Hoping to see a better performance tonight, but I'm not holding my breath. Fingers crossed that Keogh is out.....there doing his stuff. C'mon captain Richard!

As for Johnson, well, the guy's a chump. I don't believe in booing players, but I'm not going to get all holier than thou about it either. I think the reaction on Saturday was somewhat unintentional, but also partially justifiable.

Firstly, I think on an individual basis many let out a small cheer of delight, which given the number of people who shared that belief it became rather more audible than perhaps intended. Secondly, he was garbage. He's had all summer off, his slate has been wiped clean, nobody was on his back from the off (which is far worse than grumbling about it afterwards) and the best he could manage was that performance? What an overpaid, feckless, top knotted tool.

But has anyone slipped on a banana skin, into a manhole cover or otherwise?

The first time I got a black nail was from a man hole cover. Why, well I discovered if you removed the cover (rectangular) and pulled the chain, then ran like hell you could watch your tuurd go shooting past. We didn't have candy crush in those days and had to make our own entertainment.

The urban equivalent of Pooh sticks ?

That didn't explain the black nail though; just a penchant for watching poo whizz by.
You can get a similar experience watching Tom Ince, apparently.

hard to identify whose poo is whose though Ang. Not to mention you'd have the logisitical issue of getting them all in the same bowl. Doesn't bear thinking about...

Would shopping trollies count as urban poo sticks? i swear you don't see as many in rivers etc as you used to, like white dog muck.

You generally have to exchange a £1 coin for a shopping trolley these days so I think as a medium for pooh sticks, it's becoming too expensive for the average Joe.

Also important not to fall through the toilet seat, Fridge.
Toilet seats are generally oval, so a risk assessment is probably not required before playing.

Spart. Did you wipe prior to legging it from the khazi to see your deposit sail by?

If you didn't, did you return immediately, or let time pass and pull at the congealed anal-tagnuts?

"Priced out of the sport they love" "no longer a working man's game"

have football fans been ripping off poo sticks supporter's gripes?

Ang: mrs fridge insists i put the seat down, perhaps all our of womenfolk are secretly playing without our knowledge?

You are allowed to flush after wiping nowadays.

I fully recommend the use moist wipes after a dry wipe; especially for the hairier sphinctered among you. It gives you a fresh feeling when away from the bidet.

The game progressed to having a grab it and raising it aloft. Black nail, brown nail, it's all the same to Spart.

He started the black hand gang.

In those days toilet paper was of two sorts. It was either shiny and prickly with Izal written on it or it had the BBC television and radio schedules. We were posh and had Izal. It was useful in that your finger never went through, you could use it as tracing paper and make a musical instrument out of it using a comb. Other than that it was horrible.
