I thought we needed 3/4 players this window. A DM, a striker, a CB and then possibly another midfielder depending on what happens with Bentaleb. We've got 2 out of 3/4. Whether that's Levy being extremely restrictive with the spending or Poch having excessive faith in what we've got; I don't know. I just believe that we haven't done enough this window.

I do trust Levy and Poch, just don't have blind faith in them.

I think there may be a very strong emphasis on youth again this season. Harrison, Ball, Edwards, Carter-Vickers just to name a few

If there's a genuine belief that they're ready for league, champs league and cups that's fair enough. If we're just throwing them in because it looks good to do so then that just won't do.

I think they generally feel we have enough to compete.

I said on a previous thread that I reckon Levy and Poch are happy with the team and the signings of Janssen and Wanyama. That they'll probably just wait it out now and hope to find a good deal towards the end without any pressure or specific target. I think that's still the case - we could end up with a very good signing... I hope.

we're in desperate need of creativity from midfield. We only have Eriksen and, at a stretch, Lamela. A Mahrez type figure is what we need, although he's hugely overpriced and we won't even get near him with the big guns circling. Too many times last season we couldn't penetrate a team sitting deep and that's going to happen even more this season. Without smart, technically gifted players, we still won't.

If they do indeed believe that they have more belief than me. No Europa league games for us to rotate players, pretty sure we can all see the likes of Carroll and Mason aren't good enough yet they're still in the picture.

I think desperate need is a bit strong ! we were one of the most potent attacking units in the league last season, and since then we have strengthened !

Yes but we did draw 13 games. 8 of which were to teams who finished 8th, 10th, 11th and 14th.

most being beginning season / end season when we were in awful form...

Exactly. You can just picture a scenario where one or two of Lamela/Alli/Eriksen are having a bad game. Poch looks to his bench to find a different option to turn a frustrating 0-0 into a deserved 1-0... and he sees Carroll, Mason and Chadli on the bench.

Admittedly Chadli is capable of being a game-changer when he can be bothered, but you get my point.

Of those 8 draws only 3 of them occurred during the first 4 games (Everton) and the last 4 (West Hoof and Chelsea).

Im hoping we get 2 more in before the window shuts - A CM to cover and compete with Dembele and an attacking midfielder.

Ive got a feeling we will just get one more in, which position is anyones guess.
