The deal was announced to coincide with the markets opening in Asia and America
I know this now, but i didn't at the time when i found out the news on the way to work in the morning. But later i did think, why announce it after midnight but not put two and two together
Very interesting read, thanks for pointing it out.
Just started working in digital marketing myself following my degree and would love to work at United applying similar strategies.
A very efficient business
It is indeed mate. The amount of money that is involved with the club outside of the TV league money is still incredible, and it just shows how powerful and useful popular social media sites are for United. Direct and subtle advertising in a efficient manner.
Also i think that would be a dream job for you if you could do that mate.

But if you was offered that job at United i think you would accepted
I work on the social media channels for the Government department I work with and this kind of thing is, IMO, very interesting. Don't think we'd get away with some of these things though!
Yeah I really enjoy it. I worked for a property marketing agency for a while, but that was more PR and print. Much prefer the purely digital agency I'm at now, future of the business.
It's honestly amazing how something tiny can make such a big impact on KPIs. For a campaign like Pogba with so many variables must have been a lot of planning

I think in terms of the PR and marketing side of our club we have the best in the league and possibly in the world. Now matching that with the status of our club and it's a recipe for huge success financially. And then we have the growing aspirations of transfer negotiators in Ed Woodward and we have the complete 'tools' to remain and propel ourselves further in the marketing side of things.
I've always been intrigued about how successful we are in this area and think we can only grow from here.
I think you'd probably find a mix of employees who have had previous experiences working in other marketing strategy jobs and have been fortunate enough to now work for United.

What makes it even more funny is, i have family living in Hong Kong
No, they don't like football.
Hong Kong football fans are mostly United fans and whenever i say where i'm from they do mention United.
Everywhere you go everyone loves United. Except in Norway, Gorton and Stockport.
That was a daft statement. Scousers aren't mad about us either.
That reminds of when i was going to Liverpool to get my passport, i met a scouser who was a United fan

There's loads on The Wirral, they run coaches to OT for the games.
They hate scousers as much as we do.

It's good to know that there are still some people around Scouseland that still have some decency about them.

I'm not sure what's Sweden's number 1 PL club is but Norway do have a tradition of being Liverpool supporters.
N Ireland is pretty split
Apparently Chevrolet Camaros aren't sold/targeted in the UK/Europe.
..............
This is because they are crap cars and no one in their right mind would want to buy one in the UK and the rest of Europe.
