Chambers isn't quite the calamity he's made out to be. He's had some decent performances at CB. Its at RB he's terrible. Will be interesting to see how he does. Desperately need another CB still though

Chambers and Holding know each other very well, don't they? Would that not make more sense than a rusty Kos?

I remember that Liverpool game last season and it was laughable how bad he was in the first half, it was a miracle how we kept a clean sheet. Maybe it is good omens.

Chambers and Holding actually didn't play together much in pre-season. Think the Chivas match was the only significant time together at CB they played.

Chambers will get ripped a new one with all the tricky players they have...Unless he has ironed out the tear too his game.

Gabriel was decent last year in the same game. Chambers had a shocker in the first half

Not referring to pre-season. More the England games U-21.

But I could be wrong.

That first half against pool last season was probably the worst CB showing ive seen for quite some time. It was a miracle (basically cech) that we kept a clean sheet.

2nd half it was all us though.

Gabriel had a great game that day. Chambers was shocking in the first half. Improved slightly in the 2nd half but we were lucky Liverpool couldn't finish that day and Cech made a world class save to keep us in it

They were lucky we couldn't finish either Tbf. And that the linesman ruled out a perfectly good goal.

Chambers was alright towards the end of the season

You have crap centre backs but an excellent goalkeeper and we can never finish our dinner.

Always liked Chambers. Could be a good season for him. Without starting a new post we should have made a bid for Mangala from City. Shaky first season but would be good at the Emirates.

Ironically, I also thought our best performance from a centreback last year was his 2nd half performance vs Leicester
