Hmm, bit harsh all round here.
Coquelin was good, I thought. I think it doesn't actually suit him to play with another defensive mid, because him and Elneny were alternating or both going forward, he seems to be better with someone like Cazorla or Ramsey who get forward and he can play by himself in DM rather than trying to work as a pair
Xhaka didn't really do anything but got to give him time to settle. Agree that I would have preferred Kante too, though.
May be harsh but I'm tired of fans always standing up for players. These guys get paid a fortune and underperform for Arsenal more often than not.
How are Coq/Elneny/Xhaka going to deal with Chelsea, City, United's midfield if they let the likes of Lallana and Henderson dominate them?
Walcott looked a threat but the whole team went missing for a bit in 2nd half.
Ox as per usual passing was poor.
Xhaka could pass but seemed to have no positional awareness and followed the ball all over place and committed criminal amount of fouls.
Alexis lethargic.
Monreal looks like he is on the slide as Liverpool had field day on his side.
If you are challenging for major honours, Iwobi is not at the level required.
Ramsey not a no.10 and poor passing and should have been deployed deeper alongside Coq with Santi behind the striker
Iwobi shouldn't be in our starting line up. Elneny is average at best and out of his depth in big games.
I thought Oxlade looked ok for about 5 mins when he scored a luckyish goal but then he just turned into rubbish, poor first touch and some very poor passes.
This is why quite alot of people want us to sign Mahrez as Walcott, Oxlade and Iwobi are not to the required level yet. Campbell again is not liked by Wenger so please just sell him.
Look, we have some decent players and some really good ones, but we don't have enough top players to be competitive in 4 comps...
Players like Walcot, Ox, Giroud, El-Neny, Coq, Holding, Chambers, Iwobi etc are decent to fill a squad, so long as that squad has more of the Alexis and Ozil about it.
This team is basically what it is, give or take, the 4th best team in the league on average. And it looks like the 4th best team too....
actually this season it could be 5th or 6th best team.
The manager has to go. its that simple.
Xhaka was woeful, out of his depth, bad signing on that evidence
