Has Arsenal ever been a club that regularly attracted top players? Not really. A few exceptional signings spread out over a 20 year period. You've always made superstars.
We have never really gone after exceptional players. The club always preferring to unearth, create and develop exceptional players, and did quite well in doing this. Recently the club have been unable to develop stars and uncover gems, but have also been to stingy, and unambitious to spend any money on top players. Baring Ozil and Sanchez.
