I've a feeling it'll take a couple of months, at least, before Amavi is a regular, and we don't know yet if he'll live up to his potential.
Cissokho actually looks better this season than I've ever seen him. He's not great defending under pressure, but to an extent it's the midfield's fault that he's under that pressure. Grealish has obviously been told to get back to help more, and certainly against Rotherham, where Cissokho had a very positive game, that helped.
Not sure what the position of Bennett is. Either way, I think it's improvements to the team as a whole which is the issue.
Thanks for the memories Jedi and all the best with Villa
I still think fullback is our main concern now, rumours of a £3m bid for DeAndre Yedlin from Spurs are circuilating atm, not sure he is the answer tbh. The rest of the team is looking solid.
Gollini will settle after a couple of blunders and CB/CM is looking very good with the addition of Jedinak who is exactly the typeof player that was needed. I would say 9 out of 11 positions are filled (if Ayew stays).
Who partners Jedinak? I would go for Tshibola myself, Westwood has had his chance and Gardner who I like, some of you have said he has been poor, so give the young lad a chance, he has the right man beside him to bring him on.
Gollini
RB - Elphick - Chester - LB
Jedinak - Tshibola
J.Ayew - McCormack - Grealish
Gestede
Gestede as poor as he was last season can and will score goals at this level

Richards is still our best RB (when in form) and Amavi needs a run if we dont get anyone then I would personally go for those two
Think our main requirement is another striker. Looks like Gestede will score goals, but we need more putting away from what we create. McCormack will also score goals, but the two between them won't score enough to get us near top.
It's a long season. If we don't get another proven striker think we will drop too many points, simply because we don't put games to bed.
