I would rename the article Barry Bhoy to get his attention
----------------------------------------------------------------------
cause he would never notice one titled Dublin
I would imagine finding a boozer in Dublin showing a Celtic game would not be the hardest task ever. Not exactly going to be a tie breaker on the Krypton Factor
we were in a pub called the Hairy Lemon
quite good big screens a good beer.
Aye i was overjoyed when i received the news it was Dublin as the destination considering the timing of the first derby of the season. I gathered Dublin would be pretty good to watch it in but wanted to go watch in a CSC.

I accept your valid point
You'll find most locals don't actually care that much either for the game or the religious garbage that goes with it.
http://www.thelivingroom.ie/ on corner of O'Connell St/Cathal Brugha street is quite good, massive place with lots of big screens, indoor and outdoor. I think its actually 3 or 4 pubs that kinda roll into one and they share the same courtyard.
Naomh Padraig csc meet in the http://m.badassdublin.com in the heart of Temple Bar. It'll be packed out though so i'd get there early if you decide on there. They'll have bands on all day after the game. Its actually quite good but cramped. I had mates over fron Glasgow for the Barca game and they loved it. Maybe check out Naomh Padraigs FB or Twitter.
100s of others too but id go with either of those two
The Hairly Lemon is a decent spot, but every pub will have the game on.
The living room as mentioed above is basically a big sports bar will have multiple different games on.
Break for the Border is also good for big screens etc. although personally not a big fan of it.
But anywhere will be good, my reccomendation if you're in Dublin is to go to Dame Lane, great bars around there, The Stags Head, Dame tavern, Mercantile (also good for a game) are all excellent.
Everyone will tell you to go to Copper Face Jacks, DON'T, well do if you're after drunk birds but it's a bleeding kip.
drunk burds?
kip?
Where is this place?
On Harcourt St, massive club always packed but I hate it, I'm gettign old though Generally a good spot for Stags to go to as it's full of drunk people, bouncers can be a bit picky at times.
OP how old are the lads heading over? What kind of music / clubs etc. would you be into?
For what it's worth if I'd to list the best bars in Dublin
The Workmans
Dice bar
Stags Head
4 Dame Lane (is a good club)
The Foggy Dew
Temple Bar is a rip off but can be good craic, drinks go up by the hour in pubs there though.
We are all early 30's so we aint looking for the pubs and clubs that we would have in our early 20's!
Still gonna be doing some hefty bevvying though. We were wanting to go somewhere with a bit of atmosphere for the game though. No Russ Abbot jokes please.
Cheers for the recommendations - i will use trusty google to have a look further.
Foggy Dew is a good shout Knee, but they won't be showing the game. Great for night time though and its only about 100 yards from where Naomh Padraig meet. Also a lot of those bars aren't jersey friendy.
Coppers?? I agree absolute kip. Most of the bars knee has mentioned are quite good for later on in the day especially the Foggy Dew, a personal favourite
Where are you staying Anton?
Perfect same age as myself, any of them bars then will be good for you, defo hit Dame Lane as you can do a bit of a pub crawl around there and as long as it's not lashing rain you can stand outside with your pints, always a good atmosphere there.
Pygmalion is also good for a club, good DJ's and a good crowd.
BB - yeah not the Foggy Dew for a game alright, Sunday's in there are savage this cool Regge band plays it's great craic.
Anton hit The Living Room for the game as they specifically cater to sports, loads of Europeans are in there watching various leagues, my misses is Latvian and we go in once a year to watch Ice Hockey with loads of Latvians, they go mental for it!
think Dublin is more Liverpool/Man Utd no?
Ah there's a big Celtic following too Ghod but yeah I'd say them 2 clubs and Arsenal too have large followings here although lots f people would probably follow an English club and Celtic too.
Don't worry you won't get many people in Dublin shouting for Rangers
We got a hostel booked for 45 euro each. My mate stayed there for the barca game recently. Cant be ersed paying a whack for accommodation when i can spend it on boozing.

Absolutley rolled over from a Saturday into Sunday then into the Foggy Dew many a time
Bands are great but its the crowd that make it what it is. Great vibe in the place. So unlike Temple Bar you'd never guess you were in it
