Why would Carvalho or Adrien Silva want to join Everton? They are playing in Europe and are being linked with CL clubs as well, why would Everton appeal to them?

Sissoko you could get, but he could be playing higher really and should be. He's been rumoured with clubs like Real Madrid, obviously that's not true but still shows the calibre of club he could play for.

Let's face it, Everton are no more than a mid table/top half team at the moment.

I'm sure teams like Spurs would be able to offer equal amounts of money, or somewhere near that amount. Spurs a more appealing club than Everton right now.

Teams like Spurs aren't in for them though - big hole in your theory!

Pretty sure Spurs have been linked with Adrien Silva for £13m this summer. Even if it is just papertalk, it's still there. Carvalho maybe not but I've heard there are similar reputation clubs after him, Roma were looking at him and Monaco as well.

Yeah cos that's why they are quibbling over installments on the French lad and their top earner is on about £75k.

Everton are minted and have a great project going on and a new stadium in the pipeline. Don't get me wrong the bitters will always be in my metaphorical gutter but right now they'd blow Spurs out of the water if it came to wages.

That Kone fella has rejected a new contract at Sunderland so there maybe movement there?

We need a new striker whether Lukaku stays or not, if he goes, we'll need 2!

We know we need a keeper, is Hart the answer? Meh, unsure - though he is better than what we got.

Still need another striker though. Rom coming on gave us the threat and we looked more likely to score but before that we were toothless up front, if we lost Rom through injury we'd be stuffed.
