There wasn't much in the fifth for me, it was a 60-50 round.
If you were gonna give it to diaz it was for the last 10 second takedown.

No he didnt. 1st and 4th were McGregor. THAT'S IT. No way did he win on rounds.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He won 2nd round too. Diaz only came into that round at the end.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2nd round decided this fight. That round was so even they should have scored it a draw.
Definitive rounds:
Conor 1,4
Diaz,3,5
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldn't have been surprised if it was called a draw but Conor dropped Diaz like 3 times. McGregor also was great defensively to avoid getting taken down and probably losing on the ground.
A McGregor win makes fight III more interesting. I don't think a draw would have done any good really. Diaz can handle hits all day though, his endurance is amazing.

Diaz didn't do enough to win the fifth for me.. Conor kept the distance and hit him with enough pot shots to nick it.
Some fight though, and some card too.. roll on Johnson doing us all a fabour and sparking that fat wrestler Cormier the fvck out this time.
Well worth staying up for.

Agree on McGregor defending his title.
If not, vacate it.
I see him fighting at Lightweight now,l.. so long as Cerrone gets him.
That'll be a fun fight and I can't see McGregor making it to the end of that fight, at light or welterweight
You too guv.
Great night/morning
Conor definitely knocked him down twice in the 2nd, both early on then Diaz did well for the rest of the round but that's why I gave Conor round 2.
Guardian: "Round 2: McGregor v Diaz
First kick is checked. Next one lands. A big left drops Diaz. McGregor backs away and they’re standing again. Diaz is getting plastered. Another shot puts the American down on the canvas."
Maybe more money for Conor in vacating FW, doing the trilogy around Christmas, then going for a championship run. This fight made a ton of money and Conor can name his own price for the rubber match. Less money for a title defence. It's nice to have options.
Conor 1, 2 & 4.
And round 1 was a 10-8.
Great fight.
What a fight!
Hats off to Conor, I'm no fan of the guy but he showed something different last night - true heart when after rd3 he looked spent.
All comes down to how you scored rd2 doesn't it, personally I scored it even when watching live, but maybe that was cos I was rooting for Diaz. I will judge it again when I watch it back, but meh I can't argue with that result.
Here's to McGregor v Diaz III

155 clearly suits McGregor and the win last night grants him the right to ask for it. A Diaz win and it's over between them two. A draw means Diaz can demand 170 again but McGregor is the decider more now than before.
I don't want them to fight though at least for another 2 or 3 bouts.

That and conor doesn't hit that hard for 170
