Thanks.
are through balls still ridiculously easy to put through
I played it and was impressed
Like someone said its a much more refined PES 2016
Same, it looked good. A kot of emphasis on tactics which I enjoyed tinkering around with. I haven't bought a pes game since 2013 but the only thing I found lacking were the lack of skill moves. For some reason the only skill move I could pull off was a simple stepover.
Wow disappointed.
The first few games feel real good. The ball zips about nicely, passing feels solid, shooting feels tight.
Then you play a bit more - and I see 1 step forward and 2 steps back. They fix the keepers, but break them. Cech falls over 5 times in 1 game, 2 leading to goals in an undefended net.
Slide tackling and refs are horrendous, have half a dozen "fouls" that clearly show me winning the ball.
Ok they have improved a bit on off the ball fouls but pretty 50/50 on which way they are called.
Nice to see advanced tactics but AI is still lacking in comparison with FIFA. Maybe being able to change normal tactics can solve this issue.
Overall pretty luke warm on this one, such a shame as it started so well!
Oh forgot to say it looks amazing though. The players look and move like footballers, and the replay camera is gorgeous.
Maybe I've been jarred by previous PES experiences but my gut feeling is that the game will be sh*t on release, then in November when a new patch is out it will be, at best, just about playable until the end of the season.
I've been playing this demo for an hour solid now and must say this game is gonna be awesome.
First off this is a IMO a massive leap forward from last years PES .
The AI is quality , examples of this can be seen by the way your danger men are closed down by 3-4 players and forced to pass .
It's refreshing to see that you're full backs can not dribble 70 yards and hit a screamer into the top corner.
The pace of the game is slowed down allowing for a more tactical game.
The refs call you back if a foul is committed but advantage given, where as last year you got away with murder , also the animation is quality.
My only gripe is that I'm unable to find out how to make Suarez bite a player.
Another nice touch is when you score and have the option to remove you're shirt as you celebrate press r3 , you do get booked.
So Simon has a broken demo and the rest of us got a great one.
I am stuck in work for another 2 hours..
As if Fridays weren't slow enough already

This is so frustrating on PES '16, either someone at Konami doesn't understand the "advantage" rule, or the game's engine didn't support the smooth running of it? I don't know.
When you get hacked down on the edge of your own penalty area but still have the ball and are surrounded by opposition players, you want the free-kick not to be told to play-on.
Also, the awarding of penalties and yellow and red cards was almost non-existent on PES '16, need to sort it out for the sake of authenticity IMO.
They seem to be making quite a big deal out of the addition of a clock to signal the end of the transfer window, I hope they haven't ignored the things that actually matter in a football game and concentrated on cheap gimmicks.
As he said, they call back now even after a long while, goals are scored, corners etc
I went crazy just to check it out and was able to get the matched stopped because of reds given. Good to see.
Seriously Simon, the tackling and goal keeping are great. Not to mention the passing and ai movement. Not sure what went wrong with your games.

Yes I said it was. However when the goal keeper falls over for nothing that is bad, very bad. When it happens 5 times in 1 game something is broke
However I came here to say:
Advanced threw ball finally works and it's BEAUTIFUL!

I know, but that is just the demo, if they carry it on to the game proper then happy days. They have released promising demos followed by poor games previously.
Hope it's not the case now.
Master League player from PES1...currently in my 8th season in PES16 on Superstar. I hated PES14...loved 4-6, 13, 15 and 16.
Initial 10-20 games were ok. Same same but different summed it up.
Long range goals harder to score.
Goalies a huge improvement. May be to good.
Defence A1 doesn't just back off. They dive in when your about to shoot.
The game speed setting would be perfect between 1 and 2...closer to 2.
Replays are very high quality.
Fat blokes in the crowd.
Ball sound is weird. 16 sounded better.
Less scripted animations.
Fouls for player collisions. Seems accurate.
Players no longer run / turn at angles, looks more fluid.
After about 30-40 games, it started to click. A lot has changed and that's a good thing.
Mate came round last night and multiplayer is the best its been for both of us. Brilliant laugh with green beers
as somebody above said, there's nothing revolutionary here, but they've fixed the obvious bugs of last year. need to play more, but i like how players are a tad more mobile now, would take ages for players to turn in pes 16
I'm glad they sorted keepers not being completely useless at protecting their near posts now!

However chance on falling over has increased dramatically: https://youtu.be/nQYP-Je7ZCg
Has happened while I was playing way too much, only seems to be Cech as well
Simon what level was that on ?
It looked like Cech slipped on a dog shat , I've been playing it on the top level and the keepers have not done this once.
