Last seasons LA liga winners learnt €10.5m,real and barca earnt €135m in TV rights each. Next best was atletico who learnt €40m in TV rights, next season the rights become collective with the exception of real and barca who are guaranteed their €135m!

I quickly grabbed a suitcase and packed mine now, so it looks like we are both safe....
Just out of curiosity though what exactly is the risk of having unpacked clogs when football implodes?
Take a euro super league over the prem any day of the week.
Be much better. More variety, tougher. It's the future.
Real Madrid can't ever complain about unfair finances. This is a club who sold their training ground to the council for about £200m about 15 years ago. How the fack was a training ground worth that much back then? Yet more bogus dealing from that corrupt club.
It's saying Madrid got less for winning the champions league OP, they didn't win la liga.
They probably have a right to complain if winning the biggest competition in club football generates less revenue than last in the premier league.

Oh yeah
Makes the point even funnier, go England!
our monolopy has backfired and we aren't earning as much
Maybe if Real and Barca hadn't been so greedy in the first place La Liga would be more marketable and they would be reaping better rewards

Agreed, the pl and $ky marketing depts really earned their bonus in turning it into the most lucrative league. Outstanding, work.
But you've fecked the game.
I dont want to see games Barca vs Madrid or Bayern. I want to see the blood and thunder of the premier league. Teams like Stoke, Watford and West ham make the league interesting.
Add the rivalry with Man United, Chelsea, City, Arsenal and Spurs is what I enjoy. Winning against Man United is not the same as against Madrid.

They do somewhat, but a lot of its crap. I'd rather watch something like atletico v Porto than that. The overhype of the premier gets boring. Especially the buullsheit marketing for the big games that almost never live up to expectation.

huh? Real Madrid and barcelona make more tv money than any english club. The complaint is that the big clubs, teams doing well don't get enough money from the champions league, that would impact english clubs as well if any of them could progress far enough.

In the article it referenced the premier league deal. Think if La Liga was more even they would be more of a world wide brand and therefore they wouldn't be comparing premier league to champions league revenue as they 'might' be on a par domestically.

I rather watch Burnley against Watford than those games you mentioned like Atletico vs Porto. The only team outside the premier league which is exciting is Dortmund. Most in Asia, Africa and North America watch the premier league and dont give a feck about La Liga, Serie A or the bundesliga.
The atmoshpere in the premier league is the best. The football is the best, we have the possesion based teams, the hoofball pullis teams, the counter attacking teams. In spain all the teams play the same style. In Serie A every team play defensive.

I don't know what point your making?
The tv deal in the premier league rewards all clubs equally from what I know, whether you're Manchester United or a smaller club like liverpool.
Whereas in la liga the two big clubs real Madrid and barca get far more than the rest of the league, and subsequently more than any team in England.
Real Madrid want the big clubs including themselves to get more revenue from Europe and not share with small clubs, thus the complaining and idea of s breakaway for Europe's elite.
TV revenues account for about 1/4-1/3 of Madrid's and Barça's revenues (and I'm not even sure that's exclusively Liga money or whether it includes other sources such as the CL).
Simply put, any PL-style revenue sharing deal for LaLiga that included variables such as league position, number of games aired per club and stuff like would have a minimal impact on the financial gap between clubs in Spain. Even with zero TV money, Madrid and Barça would still be ahead of the field by a massive distance.
TBH I think some people where forgetting marketing and such were obviously you and Barca are miles ahead of the rest of La Liga and some of the best in Europe...
I was curious about Barca and Madrid keeping their 135 but Atletico throwing their 40 into the collective pot, seemed a bit harsh on Atletico but I guess with everything being shared (after the two lump sums) it will work out better for them in the long term.
Can't help but feel its going to be harsh on them in the short term though.
