Don,t know, I was not overly impressed with his time in EPL. Not sure how much he has improved since he left England, but I trust the club and Conte to have done their due diligence on him.

That the state of the market, dictated by supply and demand. Liuz's 50 mill looks a snip from here compared to 48M for Stones etc.... Defenders are in demand right now...
He is very good with at set piece too.
Quick google search reveals he killed a 20 year old girl while drink driving a few years back. Only got off reckless homicide due to a loophole.
I would hope the club steer clear of him.

How did he get scott free ? I am currently reading about it.But, I highly doubt it he'd be allowed to walk free, if has indeed done the crime, whatever the circumstances may have been.

The Wiki page said the girl was a passenger in the car he was driving. Still bad but a slightly different picture from the one I first had.

Lo ! I am not sure, I haven't watched him play at Fiorentina. But before going there he had unsucesful spells at Bolton and and a reasonable one whilst at Sunderland (on loan),
Defensively he is suspect, gets caught out of his position. He likes to bomb down the flanks and uses the ball very well, whips in good crosses and has an impressive delivery on set pieces, probably similar to Baines.

Do we know he did that for sure ? I can't see how can you get free after killing someone ?
It doesnt actually say how he got away or whether he did any jail time or not... Anyway he's not even our player yet
I also saw that story about him killing someone while drunk driving few days ago, dunno how on earth he got away with that?
