That's progress though, there was a point where it was more like

Bad manager > shiite manager > mediocre manager > bad manager

True but think I was being overly nice.

Jol (good) > Ramos (bad) > Harry (good) > AVB (bad) > Tim (shiet) > Poch (good)

Add on top the times he's changed from DoF it doesn't look good.

Like I say great businessman and I bet the investment company that own us loves him

He's not perfect but if you go back to before he arrived you would see things how much good he's done overall. Financially we're sound which allows us to plan for the future, there were times when I seriously doubted we had one

Very much but also comes a time you have to go a bit further.

Not talking about pogba deals but there's plenty of players that good players attainable that could improve us.

If we come 6th this season the full out could be massive IMO

oe Lewis owns Spurs via Enic

Levy wanted to buy Spurs , Lewis didn't but agreed to fund the move on the understanding that he would not put any money in but would take none out

Buildings mean everything to a football club..when those buildings include a 61k seater stadium

Only if you have a playing staff that can compete in it.

Hopefully we can continue to do so

Levy is a great business man. He can get buildings built and books balanced but he makes bad football decisions 7 times out of 10.

Any time it's time to push on he doesn't. Last time we got CL did he push on nope and we ended up ripping up the set up and starting again.

Have we pushed on this time? We'll time will tell but for me we are 2 quality players short.

I'm not talking £50m players but there's some fantastic players he could get for a decent price.

Let's hope Poch is fully behind this as otherwise we might be looking again at a rebuilding job.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
well said that Hengy I live in fear that Poch will end up saying fack this and leave. I cannot for one second believe that he is 100% happy going into the season with the paper thin squad we have now. I rate this guy, I want him to stay with us for years and become the top manager he looks capable of becoming but he will be poached away if we don't match his ambition He says all the right things in the media but not a bit of me believes he wants a tiny squad and kids on the bench.

I commend him on s lot he has done, but would you rather he bought an Isco or a top notch bench press for our 'best in Prem' facility. I'd rather have the better players bought. By all means continue to develop and train the players and bring the youth through, but yes I'd rather we competed with the Arsenal and Liverpools and spent money on CL quality players to improve us, rather than selling 3 midfielders without sufficient replacements or improvements. Don't lack our weak looking bench, or lack of impetus and creativity on the pitch. A Wilshere or Isco type player would add impetus. Yes I don't like Jack either but he's got good footballing qualities. Wish Levy would shell out on some improvements and get CL players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
how can you expect to be taken seriously when you end your post with suggesting jack wilshere?<lauigh>
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I knew that one would draw comments, I wrote a Wilshere or Isco 'type' player and that I don't like Jack the lad. He is a scrote but he is a decent footballer even though he is unfit and plays for the Library lot for now. We need impetus and creativity, we've no chance of getting an Isco or Iniesta.

Btw I'm not anti levy

Like V Groove above wrote I'm pleased with how levy took us from the lows and got us to where we are.

I happy with the new training ground & potential stadium ( although took his time burning down AW ) that's he's done for the club.

Just wish every now and then he'd just help the manager push us on more.

I wholeheartedly believe we are 2 players short from competing for the league again ( CM like Dembele & AM like Eriksen ) but also think without these two players we will have a tough time.

We cannot rest players in Europe this year & the league is probably the toughest it's ever been and we probably have 16 players to compete with that are the required quality.

We have a tough season next year being away from home ( Wembley ) all season and if we go in on the back of a poor season this one then I fear for us.

Hengy, well said . Agree with 2 players short both in midfield roles.

Potch knew exactly what he was doing when he joined......He has been part of the design team for the new stadium , not the actual building but the design of the dressing rooms and anything else to do with the players

Well hopefully you're right squid but I doubt designing a changing room will keep Poch IF he's unhappy about other things

I just try to look at it from his point of view, he got 3rd last season he must've been thinking great with this extra CL money I can invest and sustain this position and challenge next season. If not well what kind of manager would he be?

Why do you think he has just signed a new 5 year deal

Once the new stadium is up and producing cash then we have to worry if e doesn't get big money spent

The TV money is a godsend for us........Its between 100m and 125m depending where you finish........We will have 3 lots of that which near enough pays for the stadium

Ace What do you want

We should use the TV money for the Stadium and move in DEBT FREE , the income would then provide for paying for some top players................TBH we have to learn to walk before we can run

Ace

Do you think ts a coincidence we have the youngest squad in the Prem for the last 2 seasons , we have had a policy of buying young talent and improving them because we can not afford to buy the same players when they are 24 or25 and full internationals

How long will that be? Will we be in an Arsenal situation where even when we've taken up residence in the new ground we'll still be paying it off meaning we'll be hamstrung financially for years after? Genuine question, there may be plans afoot that will allow us to pay it off quickly that I'm not aware of.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly wtf I don't know why everybody is living in this dreamland that suddenly as soon as we move in we will be this financial powerhouse.

Although with that said, I doubt they will have budgeted the stadium with the new tv deal or CL money. this additional money should either allow us to pay off the stadium quicker or should allow us to purchase better players now, as everyone else is doing. So far the latter has not been met...
