Jordan Rhodes or Grabban are where my money is at

I see Charlie Adam as that potential ball-playing midfield ball-winner we're so desperate for.

Hard (apparently)
Scottish

Pity he isn't 6" shorter else he could be our new Mackay?

Jordan Rhodes is a certainty as we only use Mel's millions to buy rubbish.

Didn't say I wanted Rhodes just got a feeling we will go for him

Rhodes doesn't deserve to be any use at footie with a christian name like that. He'd have made a better reality TV "star" or ballet dancer.

Did someone really refer to Chuck Adam has a ball winner

You couldn't get further from it.

A luxury player, doesn't run enough, has never been fit enough.

Two worldies a season and a passenger in most games.

In the Prem perhaps, maybe because it's a bit much for him but I remember him being the brains and brawn in the Blackpool team that battled to get in to and win the play-offs. He'd be perfect.

I also thought he'd maybe be worth a punt, but then I wonder if we're trying to find someone for the George Thorne 'holding' role when in fact NP has dispensed with that position/formation and is trying to implement a straight 442, and would Adam have the energy for that?

He's certainly got the combative nature, the 'nasty streak' that we're so sorely missing, but has he 40 games of high-demand football left in him?

I wouldn't be disappointed to see him sign but I won't be devastated if he doesn't either
