I like Mel

I like Mel and don't think he has any explaining to do. He has fully supported the development of the infrastructure of the club, he has engaged with fan groups and forums, has backed every manager he has had and got rid when it was the right time too. Yes, SM let him down big time. Above all, he loves The Rams as much as we do and always will, unlike most Chairman.

Bradley Fluking Johnson......This not the worst transfer window by a long way ..

I like him too, some fans are just never happy. What would they rather see?... 3 amigos, an idiot like Fatwaz? Unbelievable.

I'm also sure he hasn't made vast fortunes in several businesses by being defeated easily.

Confident we'll get there.

Uncle Mel

You're blaming Mel, why?

His decision to rid of us of 3 players that aren't in Pearson's plans?

Would you rather he stepped in again and ensured these players weren't sold?

£12m spent on a proven championship goalscorer and a good championship winger?

Yeah. All Mel's fault...

Our recruitment team is dire

4-4-2 does not suit us

Hughes, bryson cm is too lightweight

makes sense to get rid of players not in the plans, even if we can argue all day about whether they should be in the plans.

unlikely we'll get similar offers for them again especially if they're unlikely to feature due to not being in the managers plans.

replacing them is an issue tho, prices are inflated at the moment, quality of players available in this country for a reasonable price is not good to say the least, very surprised we're not looking further afield.

we need to avoid panic buying and paying over the odds, we did that already with the last batch of signings.

might just be we're going to have to scrape through a long hard season until the required players are available, but it's a risk as if NP ends up being a disaster our old Plan A is no longer an option.

I will be pleasantly surprised if we finish in the top half this season.

The manager appointed would have been the choice of many including myself. However I have been totally underwhelmed by his team selection so far. The quality of the football except for about half an hour during the Villa game has been dire. It is early days I know but I can't see it improving much with the style of football Pearson wants and the personnel we have.

I neither like him nor dislike him, but I appreciate his financial input into the club.
But you can only judge by results, and since his involvement, there has been a steady decline in the football side of the club.

We where rocking under SM and he backed him. Should he not have backed him?

He isn't a football manager so he rightly does what they ask him to do.

I'll be surprised if we finish mid-table With this squad of players.......goodnight

We have one of the most talented squad of players In the league.

Hardly a mid table side.

We just need a complete overhaul of mentality and approach.

Hear, hear.

NP comes over as someone who knows his own mind and definitely doesn't suffer fools at all. Footballers are generally speaking not the brightest lights in the chandelier and I think NP is the right person to get a grip of this side, (too many sulking like 10 year old's), but we will have to be patient.

Well NP has so far shown himself to be clueless. The football is crap, we have learned to lose ugly. You can face palm all you like but I can't see any virtues in his tactics or team selection. Just looking angry isn't enough.

he has replaced static movement with pace , give the bloke time to rid us of the old school who have failed over the last couple of years . Carry on NP , shake em up !

I would like to give Pearson time in HMP rather than the iPro. You might like to see hoof ball but I like to see football. If failure is challenging for promotion is not being able to beat Carlisle over 120 minutes success. If failure has been being consistently one of the highest scoring teams in the division is success 1 goal in 5 starts? Looking angry and shouting all the time doesn't make you a good manager although some seem to think it does.

I have no problem with Wilson,Vydra and Anya coming in. Like all 3 of em. I have no real gripe on Martin going either. But I really am miffed about Hendrick leaving when our centre midfield is weak. Not very often in last few years has our cm not had Eustace,Thorne or Hendrick in it and its showing. I am worried about that area and I think its effecting the whole way we are playing. We have got a grip on any game this season whatsoever.

True, ................ and I guess whist he's bollocking you, he is leaving the rest of us alone

Yes Backo, what concerns me is that our main problem this season has been midfield so we weaken rather than strengthen it. Call me what you like but to me that doesn't seem logical. No striker can expect to succeed whether it is Martin, Vydra, Messi or Ronaldo if the ball never gets to him.

At Barnsley we got bossed after Hendrick went off. Against Villa and Burton we went with the same 3 in there and it was even worse. Tom Naylor played Cm...Tom Naylor!!!

I can't see anyone we have at the moment being able to play in front of defence. Baird is too slow in releasing the ball, Johnson's distribution is not good enough, Hughes, Butterfield and Bryson are too light and anyway should be supporting the attack, Hanson didn't impress me when he played there.

Leicester's success was in no small part down to Drinkwater so you would think Pearson regards a DM as a key player yet he does the very thing designed to weaken us in this position.

I am hoping Bradley Johnson dusts himself down and starts performing. We need strength in there. We need him to get back to knocking people about like he was pre-Forest away last season. There is a real opening here for him. Well that's my hope...

Do we have any DMF potential coming up through the youth teams?
