That bench looks a darn sight better than it was at the weekend

So the new signings aren't an improvement on our starting 11 and will be bench warmers. They do improve and strengthen the squad for all competitions though

They're not bench warmers and team will change depending on form. Janssen for example has started games. Eriksen and Alli will find themselves being subbed more often if underperforming.

Do we need to improve our starting XI? Every player in our first XI are very good

Are Spurs really going to spend £30m on a player and leave him on the bench?

posted on 31/8/16

Hope so Boss, even Kane was subbed. My bad, they will start on bench but as you say can change the formation and tactics as required

You bought Depay for £25m and left him in Zara picking outfits.

He's genuinely out worst player, not even exaggerating

Yeah but he's not our record signing and we have history of signing expensive players and benching them, Spurs don't operate anything like us.

Levy only activate his extra year deal as I think he thought he'd sell him for a few million this summer

Zlatan, I'm not Pochettino in disguise. For all we know he could be first choice and our squad doesn't have a range of ability to clearly separate the good with the amazing. It will change depending on performances, form and opponents.

The way Eriksen is playing, I would drop him
Right now and that means free space for Sissoko

Boss, that's fair.

Was just pointing out you can't really compare Spurs and United in this respect.

I just would be surprised if your record signing doesn't feature in your first eleven.

He will obviously feature. That why weve bought him but it depends on him now how much that is and whether he puts in the performances to justify playing.

Pochettino has always said players sign a contract to train and then it goes from there.

carroll clinging on like shiiiiiit to a blanket

A midfield 3 of Wanyama, Dembele and Sissoko sounds solid.

Hey Leave Carroll alone ya big bullies.

I like him not as a cm because he is awful there but to come on late in a game he keeps the ball well and has great technique.

Im not saying he will get a game for us now but he's better than most think. A solid lower half premier league player.
