Gibbs just hasn't developed. His a good solid lb at his best. He doesn't have the skills going forward to set him apart from that.
Alli in general play is a bit average. Possibly below that. But last season he was scoring the goals to make up for it. Interesting to see how he gets on.
he was immense last season and won young player of the year, has a slow start to the season and people way over react
he does so much without the ball though, speak to any player or coach and they will tell you how effective that is, his game intelligence is of the scale for someone who is 19, sure he will have bad games and periods of poor form he is 19!

what about gibbs, I always thought he was pretty decent, I think ali is a player you appreciate more when you watch him live, his run and the way he makes space is fantastic for his age, people forget with him he is 19 and played 30 odd pl games, he is going to be a top cm in this league for years
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I found the opposite when I've watched him live I've struggled to understand the hype and what his actual strengths are. Dembele would definitely start for me with either Cazorla maybe Xhaka depending on how he settles.
Gibbs is pretty quick, athletic and good on the ball, but prone to lapses in concentration and maddeningly ineffective going forward. He hasn't matured enough since he was 20/21.
I'm not doubting that he is class and will be one for the future.
Just don't think he is close to making the team right now.
as harry said about lampard, he will go the very top, Ali is the same and a million times better than what lampard or even steven g was at 19

Alli is good at finding space off the ball in dangerous areas - aided by his immense stamina. He was at his most effective playing off Kane and linking up with him. As a midfielder though, he still has to develop a lot in his game.

Dembele is not the best midfielder in the league, not even top 5 (Pogba, Kante, Gundogan, Xhaka and Fernandinho all better), Cech is much much better than Lloris and Arsenal's defenders are better.
It think Xhaka and Cazorla could work. They used to play Coquelin and Cazorla together and that was fine.
Alderweireled again not top 5 cbs in the league Kompany, Terry, Koscielny, Luiz, Zouma, Smalling, Bailly, Blind and Mustafi all better.

He's not an arsenal fan.
Where'd you think his best position will be going forward?
as harry said about lampard, he will go the very top, Ali is the same and a million times better than what lampard or even steven g was at 19

Gerrard at 19 was a more savvy, mature midfielder. His passing range and playmaking ability was miles better than Alli's. Lampard wasn't as good. But players develop at different paces. Lampard bloomed in his early 20's and went on to score 20+ goals every season for a decade of freakish consistency. Few players would follow that kind of trajectory.
of course he has things to develop he is 19, but as I said the way he finds space and the runs that he makes are immense for that age. I think just behind the forward or even on the left in a narrow 3 behind the striker
im not sure about that sherriff, when gerrald broke into lpool team he was in and out for a year and I think only made about 10 appearances in his first year, think he broke through properly about 2 months into his second season, alis first season at a younger age he got ypoty and scored double figures.
Lloris
Bellerin Kos Toby Rose
Xhaka Dembele
Sanchez Eriksen Ozil
Kane
Cech
Walker Toby Kev Rose
Dembele Wanyama
Sanchez Ozil Lamela

Shame the bloke who made the comment is a Chelsea / Mourinho fan and not an Arsenal fan.
Neutral here:
Lloris
Walker, Toby, kosh, Rose
Xhaka, Dembele
Sanchez, Erik, Ozil
Kane
Cech
Walker Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose
Dier Dembele
Sanchez Ozil Eriksen
Kane
Arsenal team with Kane upfront.

On his day, Dembele is an absolute beast. Difficult to disposses and very skilfull on the ball. If he has a weakness it is he doesn't score enough. Would get into any PL team when on his game
Assuming everyone is on top form and it has to be a cohesive team; no Sanchez as DM etc...
Cech
Bellerin, Alderweireld, Koscielny, Rose
Dier, Dembele
Sanchez, Ozil, Eriksen
Kane
Some tough calls in there. Bellerin vs Walker was very close, and it's been so long since Cazorla was fit I've forgotten how good he was in there so went with Dembele as I think he'd pair up with Dier better than he would with Cazorla. Haven't seen enough of Elneny or Xhaka.
Alli was brilliant last year but can't argue with Ozil being ahead of him. Sanchez, Eriksen and Kane pick themselves.
