Sorry to see Jenson go. He seems like a nice guy to me.
But as an F1 driver he was grade 2 imo.
Lucked out with Brawn in 2009 and got shown up with Alonso.
Sorry folks, but that's how I see it.
Given that in 2009, he was driving a car that had only been ready to race 3 weeks before the start of the season and had zero in-season development due to the team being severely underfunded (remember, the entire team, including Jenson and Rubens, took huge pay cuts just to stay in the sport), I can't help but get a little annoyed when people say that his championship win was "lucky".
Yes, he's not up there with the likes of Hamilton, Alonso and Vettel, but he is nowhere near as far away from them as some would like to think.
I hope he makes good on his word of coming back in 2018. He is one of the biggest personalities in the paddock in an era when such a quality is almost impossible to find.
I rate Button's title with Brawn higher than any of Sebs
Think this is the end of his career though. A year out of this sport is suicide
Yeah it does worry me that his option of a 2018 return is just that.
Having said that, if he can't get in at McLaren, I'm sure he'll get offers elsewhere. Williams have made it clear they still rate him and one has to wonder just how long Raikkonen's got left at Ferrari.
Can't see Button in at Ferrari in 18..surely they'll have better available

Spot on. Vettel had the best car by a distance, great at heating its tyres, got it out of the DRS zone in the first two laps and then won the race. Button has shown, especially in drying conditions, that he has real talent. And anyone who suggests Alonso has blown him out of the water is wrong.
