Shaw looked tired after the City game, would not play him at all

I have no confidence in Morgan, would play Carrick instead

Bailly out too, Rojo in

Young in for Martial with Mata on the right. Think Depays days are numbered. Be surprised if Smalling doesn't start to get a run of games now. Looking forward to seeing him and Bailly link up.

OP 11 looks good though.

I'd like Smalling to start alongside Bailly. I'd be tempted to play Blind in CM, as I feel it's where he would best serve us. However, we have a lot of CMs and I imagine Jose will want to give one or two of the underused ones minutes.

I think Jose has hinted he's dropping the players that played badly against City. 'Performance' was his key word.

So we may not see Valencia, Blind, Pogba, Lingard and Micky

I went on a family holiday recently and we punched above our weight in one club, booked the VIP for 3 of us. (Can sit 8) We were balling that day according to my sisters. Made me laugh when I saw it.

Pogba and Micki have to start for me. Get a good performance under their belt and some match fitness ready for Sunday.

I'd like to see TFM in CM. Would Love a midfield three of TFM Pogba and Herrera lots of energy, strength and a bit of flair too there

Bailly and Shaw both looked shattered by the end of the derby (or when he went off in Shaws case)... I'd rather the pair of them got rested.

Mhki... Mata... Depay

Martial

probably a few changes too many, but we've another early kickoff on Sunday, I'd rather keep our main starters (at present) fresh

Plus.. we're paying the fringe players, they're not getting game time in the reserves... we need to give them game time otherwise if they are needed in the league we'll be in trouble

Unrelated... but 4 midday/early kickoffs in a row... I always get the feeling we struggle a bit in the earlies, kinda dreading this run

Tuanzebe played (and excelled during) 90 very difficult minutes last night. He won't be featuring.

I expect there will be fewer changes than people think. Jose really doesn't like to rotate much.

I think the certainties from his recent comments are are Herrera and Rashford starting, Lingard and Mkhi left out.

I'd guess we'll see something close to:

Valencia---Smalling---Bailly---Darmian/Rojo

--------------Herrera---Pogba

----Mata-------Rooney----Memphis/Young

------------------Rashford

I'd put Lingard in for Mata, but other than that I agree with your team. Maybe Rojo in for Shaw just to give him a rest.

-mikh needs game time and must play.

Big question is will martial/depay start as this will tell us a lot about how jose feels about either players

Because you want to keep your second place keeper sharp, in case DDG gets an injury.

Playing a goalkeeper for 50+ games can lead to an inury, just like any other player... Some of the movements DDG makes are not the most natural.

I like the team, but presume Shaw won't play tbh

Jose has been pretty clear that Lingard and Mkhi won't be starting due to their performances at the weekend.
