I don't see the point in picking batty and not picking him in the actual side. Agree about hameed but at least will find something about him before the india tour. Guess the starting 11 is cook hameed root bairstow stokes moeen butler woakes batty rashid Anderson.

England batsman should get plenty of runs baring in mind Mustafizur Rahman is out injured and bowlers like Taskin and Sunny are banned with suspect actions. There is not a lot after these 3.

Anyway I don't get the Finn selection. just seems he gets picked no matter what..Jake Ball gets one test match..Hes a good bowler and so is Plunkett. Yet the biased selectors pick Finn..
Anyhow wood will probably get in the 11. lets hope so.

Re buttler. Trevor bayliss seems to want him in the team as a batsman. Leach not picked because the selectors are worried about his batting. Should just pick the best spin bowler.

Buttler has better test average batting than Hales or Vince...think I would play him and Bairstow, shifting Bairstow higher up

My first test side...Cook, Hameed,Root, Bairstow, Ali, Buttler, Stokes, Woakes, Broad, Anderson, Wood

well, if its spin receptive as they seem to think then Wood may drop out for Rashid. To be honest I think we should pan this lot whatever team we play....we HAVE beaten them 8 times out of 8 in Tests!!

Don't think Bairstow is good enough to play no4 in test cricket.

Bairstow was one of the best batsmen over the summer. You can hardly say Vince or Ballance are better

I still think Ballance is worthwhile persevering with...he has at least scored four decent hundreds for England. He has a few problems presently sure but give him some time...when he first played for England Boycs said he liked the lad and he's a good judge of a players ability!

Ballance a duck today. I really don't see why he has been picked for the tour. Just no form at all.
