Howdy Sheriff, hopefully Conte will learn from last nights experience.

As for Ivanovic I don't know how much longer Conte can persevere with his ineptitude, the stupid freekicks he gives away in dangerous positions over the last few seasons has become a joke. IMO he should just be used as a backup CB in future.

How's it going Brummie. How long do you think Conte will last? Still you had a good August.

Good morning Sandy, I'm doing well thank you and adapting to civilian life slowly.

How did you enjoy your Wednesday night at Wembley, didn't have to give your ticket away to some one else I hope?

As for Conte, it will be foolish to judge him without two full seasons and give him a chance to move on the deadwood - hopefully Roman will see it the same

Correct Brummie, yes that was more or less Southampton that beat us yesterday. I feel embarrassed talking about our cringey performance yesterday.

Btw, Sandy thinks he can still wum you Brummie but he is quick filtering those who shows him up as a buffoon that he really is.

but we dominated in the 2nd half
--------------------------------------------------

Sorry, that must have been when I went to the bar for two minutes!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, for 10 minutes before the goal, but we were the better team in the 2nd half. It might be just the case of how Liverpool wanted it to be but I'm trying to look for postives here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It was definitely how we set up in the second half. I read somewhere that Chelsea didn't have a shot on target in the last 30 mins. I think Klopp has realised that we can't maintain the same pace for 90 mins, so he's working on us learning to manage the game better. That's by far the best we've managed this yet.

what i did find amazing was that after several times of ref warning pool players over time wasting and all the subs there were only 3 mins of extra time
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In fairness, I was cringing a bit with some of our time wasting, not what I like to see. But plenty of teams have done it to us before and it's up to the ref to do something. It's just a tactic to take the sting out of the opposition.

I also thought Ivo was lucky to stay on the pitch. He definitely stood/stamped on Lallana's foot, and could easily have picked up two bookings.

Didn't last night matter then? Booger.

The PL title is a marathon not a sprint. Obviously, the game yesterday mattered, better have them three points than not. But it wouldn't cost us the league or a spot in the CL. Thankfully there are plenty of games left to play yet to rectify it.

Mate all games are worth the same number of points. If you dont win the league then last night will be one of the reasons why

Well we may as well blame it on Swansea result too !
As I said, better to have three points than not, but at this stage of the season, it's not a catastrophe, as there are still plenty of games left, there will be more surprises yet to come, it's a long season yet.

Chelsea fans should console themselves in the fact that even though it was a fair result, all that separated them was a Henderson 30 yarder, which is a one in a million event.

Going through all the comments, last night game was awful. It is a wake up call for Conte sure he will improve us. IMO most of the problems caused by lack of balance in defence. There is no attacking threat from full backs. We need to play two DMs to protect CBs. As a result midfield offers minimal attacking options. Our RW offers more in defence than attack. In the end we got two attacking players to score goals. With 9 players concentrating on defence and still not able to keep a clean sheet.

Couldn`t get a ticket mate, it was sold out. I have however attained a ticket for the game with Gillingham this week.

I doubt Conte will get two years with your head honcho.

Have you fully retired now then? Welcome to the OAP club.

No Sandy, I'm now a Service and Commissioning Engineer, I have to do some thing to pay for my tickets and beer money - with my Naval pension I'm on more than I was in the RN

Not so much fun though

It was more to do with the fact they were a 10 minute walk from my house!

My dad used to take me when they came round and also to St Andrews and The Hawthorns!
