That's the last time I drive 800 mile in 4 days

Get rid !

I once drove 440 miles from Bewdley to Aberdeen to go offshore only to be told when I got there that the job was cancelled so I drove home again. Two hours after arriving home I got a call to say that the job was back on so I had to drive back to Aberdeen. 1320 miles in under 24 hours is no fun at all. You have my sympathy buddy

feck me you must have been fuming.

Think my longest day was driving from Lawrence to Dallas to pick up my mum and then home again.

Think it was about 1020 miles round trip, all because she wouldn't do a connecting flight.

The drive down to our Costa blanca casa is 1350 miles out there abouts.can do it in about 27 hours door to door.

I've got a 3 hour ferry crossing tomorrow with a gut full of dodgy madras.

Any stat changes concerning Stearman yet?

Not as bad as Texas. I've driven from coast to coast 3 times now and once with only 6 hrs rest in a grotty motel just West of Houston.

If Stearman had played tonight, we'd have let in 4.

Keep the same side from last Saturday against Brentford, with maybe Cav for Tex.

Apparently Benik Afobe is getting some stick from Bournemouth fans after his first start in a long time tonight.

Bournemouth fecking up what should have been a good season in my view.

That useless lump King needs benching asap and Afobe and/or Wilson need pairing.

No idea what the deal is with this new fangled football formula where strikers have to run all day and scoring goals is an irrelevance.

27 goals in 177 games for king at all levels

Works hard though and that gets you prem starts.

It's not an either/or. You want both.

The trouble is, it's difficult to score goals these days unless you do the work off the ball. Running channels, pressing off the ball etc. are really important for the team and are aspects of the game Afobe is really poor at. He can't hold the ball up either, so the ball won't stick up top. It's for those reasons he can't get in the Bournemouth team past Callum Wilson.

Watch the way Guardiola and Klopp set their teams up. They press from the front without the ball, work hard off the ball to create space and play quick one and two touch football. Those are aspects of the game Afobe didn't really do. Without them, or the ability to hold the ball up; a team with him as the focal point of their attack in the lower Prem will seriously struggle to create chances or play in the final third.

Your support for him is admirable though. Even though he has gone and struggled thus far.

I couldn't care less if Afobe plays another game in his career if i am honest Tam.

But he is a proper striker that will score goals for fun if given the service, he isn't a guy that will hold the ball up all day long, but whilst managers try and use him in ways he isn't useful then that isn't a Benik problem it is a coach problem

Even Callum Wilson is missing minutes already whilst a useless lump plays every week.

Modern football is just crap in my opinion, all about hard graft and running rather than genuine ability which is one reason we are seeing a lot more tactical tight games with sides canceling each other out.
