This was a long time ago. You said you went to China about a week ago. So did you go to China for 6 weeks and went back there last week? That's your story

I find it funny that you won't admit you left the site out of shame and embarrassment over your team and the whole 'mind the gap' stuff. Convenient timing no?

I went to China last week. Flew Sunday, returned Friday. Shanghai, great city. You should visit.

Without a VPN you are very limited to which websites you can access in China. If you are planning then take this advice for the whole of China. Even South Korea has some restrictions on access/sites and apps.
