I'm going to say Ipswich?

Has to be Ipswich and big Mick.
It's not immediately obvious and probably not who you first thought it was.

If it wasnt for this I would say Ipswich, they were the first team that came into my head.
Without looking at other peoples answers I'll say Ipswich and big Mick. He's been with them a good few years now.
Brighton with Chris Hughton
Sami Hyppia was their manager not long ago.

You'd be right. I thought Ipswich might not be obvious because people would have thought Forest and Sheffield Wednesday have been in the division for years. Or someone like Cardiff.
I meant longest-serving in terms of consecutive seasons spent in the Championship. Since they were relegated in 2002 they have never been promoted back or dropped further down.
Mick McCarthy, who has been in charge for a surprising four years - didn't think it was as long as that - is the longest-serving manager.

--------
The longest serving manager kills off Forest and Sheff Weds straight away.
Cardiff were in PL recently.
Nice article, beats the Liverpool v Spurs dck swinging that's been going on since last night.
