I think to a man, we all want conte to be given time, most can also see the writing beginning to be written on the wall based on over a decade of managers hjaving to get instant results
I also furking hate these high and mighty articles.

Do you actually think arsenal played well? yes they were efficient but they hardly worked for their goals, we were just woeful. 20 years of going to chelsea and never seen such a gutless performance in a london derby, kneejerk or not, that's how i feel.

Where did you read this ? Please point us to the said threads please.
This is a forum where people are bound to have different opinions. Therefore, a debate will be had where some posters criticise Conte and some praise him. But no one has called for his head, even those who criticise him agree that Conte needs to be given time to implement his idea of football.

I now realise the error of my ways. I didnt read the article properly. Upon further reading they were saying they were still behind Conte etc despite the issues blah blah.
So im gonna go and crawl back under my rock...

No need. actually I rather agree with your sentiments. No need to get into who said what or not. There were several articles spreading gloom and doom. Lately:
1) When we get new stadium we will be relegated
2) Much moaning about players not trying, disrespecting senior players, ridiculing Luiz, and the need to dustbin at least 5 names.
3) Its only a few posters but for sure there has been a negative attitude that you felt and I certainly did coming from a section of our fans.
4)Continual articles blaming the board for the ills of the club.
5) One particular poster who says its hard to stick up for the club, the way its being run
This board is about opinions so fine by all means share. But OP I don't think your initial reaction was wrong, there is far too much negative thinking, but hey thats my opinion. I will pass over the "silly" stuff, no need to be running off and you have no reason at all to find a rock... ok.
hmm tway, I don't disagree with much of the above though, this last year or so with the money in the game and the attitudes of the players are really threatening to break certain fans who I know have been going for decades.
We seem to have lost a lot of the chelsea attitude of the 90s and 00s where players fought for the shirt and showed flair.
yeah the 80s were worse but its what people expected. We sold the second amount of shirts worldwide last year, and cant even field 11 players who want to turn up.

You are so right Nick and I think also hit the nail, You and I remember those times of the centre circle huddle and the band of brothers attitude that is so much of what a winning team is about. The reason why we didn't like Sturridge, because his attitude was wrong.
Football is about passion and hunger to win, isn't that what a manager is paid to do,first and foremost motivate a team spirit?
Yes I agree we have lost that "magic" . Leicester showed it almost all last season. We can only hope that our guy has the where with all to reproduce that hunger to win for the team . It is a special time and a special group that can produce this feeling, as rare as falling in love. Thats why we so appreciate it when it comes, on those rare occasions. To get 11 egos to merge as one is very special, and we know it like love when it passes.
The magician manager that has the awareness to produce this spark , like Jose did for us earlier on, will always remain a legend.

Obviously I stick up for my team, I'm merely saying that I feel embarrassed and frustrated inside with the way we have gone about our business.
We're slowly falling away from challenging let alone winning and I don't think for one second we'll get relegated, well, not for a while, but I do think that mid table beckons...
I was mainly a lurker here but i just think its such a shame for soo many to give up. We need to get behind our players and have faith in the club as a whole.
