If it is then you need to get rid of the rats in camp. I suspect Hazaard more than anyone. As talented as he is nobody should be more important than the club.
All teams have some form of "player power" particularly the teams like us, with national players and national captains. Saying it is not true is like saying religion does not or should not interfere in politics.
From what we read, Conte has the love and respect of the team. Jose had it for sure when we were ruling the herd, but he clearly lost it for whatever reasons.
Any discussion on this topic will be pure conjecture because none of us has eyes in the dressing room.
....and most of us here are far too easily influenced by a notoriously inaccurate media.

Flash more fool the club if they allow that to happen again. There should have been a big clear out of players in the summer but the club bottled it big time and these are the consequences.
We have the best manager that we could realistically hope to have at this stage. Unfortunately our players have become like spoilt children who always get their way. Conte is clearly trying to bring about a new style of play after we finished 10th last season but it's as if the players don't want change because that would actually require some effort on their part.
Far too many chiefs (or players who think they are chiefs but actually aren't) and not enough Indians (ie players who are willing to put in an actual shift, especialy when things aren't going well) in this Chelsea side right now.

The players were at fault last season because they failed to be managed properly. It’s not the manager’s fault that the players are poorly managed.

Totally agree.
