don't think it was him being out of favour, more just Sissoko being given games and Son performing above expectations

Agree entirely. Lamela is one of our best attacking players, he should probably score more for my liking however his assist rate and eye for a defence splitting pass is second to none.

One of my fav players.

careful mate, you will disturb chicken from his slumber if you are not careful and then we will all have to listen to the plank for a couple of hours

Eriksen is our most creative player even off form he's still got a couple assists and goals.

Look at last season he was second best in the league for chances created

Lamela is one of my favourites too, I've got a feeling Poch may play some games without a recognised striker to accommodate our AMs, not sure I'm keen on this though.

I also like Lamela and the best thing is he seems to just get better and better as time goes on

Hopefully we'll get a chance to see that attacking front three tomorrow night.

Eriksen behind Janssen. Son on the left cutting in. Lamela on the right with walker bombing on. Dele will need to hold his own in the middle with Wanyama. Can see a few goals tomorrow.

I wouldn't mind seeing lamela behind striker for a few games tbh. eriksen is effective off the left, but I suppose son has been devastating out there with his cutting in so maybe don't move him.

that said, his first goal v boro was cutting in from the right.

great options !

Eriksen plays better centrally, however him and Rose have a good connection on the left

On form

Son Eriksen Lamela should be the 3 behind the striker

Sissoko should be tried with Wanyama in midfield. If Dembele and Dier are'nt 100%

Lamela is one of my absolute favourite players. I must admit I was a little worried that he started against gillingham and then missed the boro game. I'm really hoping sissoko starting ahead of him is to do with the number of games we've got coming up and fitness etc., if sissoko has actually moved ahead of him in the pecking order then I'll be sick on my shoes.

Long season ahead, makes sense to rotate (just as long as Lamela is back on for the big games!)

Just great for once we have options...

Nkoudou Alli Lamela Eriksen Sissoko Son Edwards Onomah

All fighting for 6 spots a week. (3 in league, 3 in Europe)

Has Lamela really lost his place to Sissoko?

I bet he plays tomorrow, as he did v Monaco. 2 CL games isnt bad for someone who cannot get in the side!

Get used to this chopping and changing - we have four smashing options behind the striker now, plus 30m Sissoko settling in, an exciting prospect in Nkoudou, and Onomah and Edwards waiting for titbits

I personally don't see Sissoko as a winger. I'm well aware that football isn't just about stats and it's also a game that 'you see with your eyes' and all that, but his performances last season leave a lot to be desired.

Didn't score many and didn't assist many either. Assists can be a misleading stat as its dependent on the finishing of the strikers but he didn't exactly create loads either (57 key passes). For me he's backup to Dembele and nothing else.

As for Lamela, its good that he's stepped up last season but it's good that Son has stepped up this season. Alli can consider himself fortunate to be in the team at the moment, a fluid trio of Eriksen, Lamela and Son will no doubt be tried out at some point with Dembele deeper.

No way!
Who started this silly rumor?
They are different types of players, used in different situations.
Lamela is a play maker. Guile and misdirection to fool defenses and set goals up.
Sissoko is an enforcer. Steel in the midfield.

Poch is just rotating, Sissoko isn't ahead of Lamela
