We're going to score 5 anyway.
Byrne played right back for them last week. Can't imagine him as a defender

Didn't he play as a wing back. He was quite high up the pitch on all the highlights, which made me assume they played with a back three or a defensive midfielder who acted like a half back.
Bet they play with a back eight tonight!
I think you might be right tam. The line up I sa had Jacobs ahead of him on the right but maybe he played more centrally.
Their four ex Wolves players were all pretty hopeless for us barring a short good spell for Jacobs in League One. So you would like to think we would be too good for them, despite the recurring theme of ex players coming back to haunt us

I thought Jacobs was a little unlucky not to get a proper chance with us after we were promoted, Other than that, I agree.
Pearson evidently about to be sacked by Derby
I can't believe how bad Derby have been.
I think Pearson has tried to completely change the way they play though. I think they play 4-4-2 now, when they have previously played a possession based 4-3-3. It blatantly isn't working. They have only scored 3 goals this season.
Considering the amount of money they have spent in recent years and their new chairman's itchy trigger finger, it makes sense he is on the verge.

Just going to post this, DJ. Wasn't it Wolfgang who was "championing" Pearson earlier in the summer?

Still no Predict the Team entries from the following:
Wolfgang, AJ, HaakSworth and Halfy
Remember 5.45 cut-off (subject to appeals to the UN)

Oh, and agree with Unc, Nigel Pearson would be a brilliant appointment.
Because he fails with derby it doesn't suddenly make him crap.
If that's the case then Zenga is truly awful.

No surprise really. Things haven't been going well there and he isn't the most savoury of characters at the best of times.

Still think Pearson is a good manager but he has failed spectacularly at Derby.
Like Wolfgang, Unc and probably a few others, on this occasion I was wrong but unlike you I don't have a problem with admitting I was wrong.
As I don't have a massive ego it simply isn't important to me to be right all the time or to point out when others are wrong.

It was me. He has been hung out to dry by a team who refuse to play for him. Not unlike those clowns who turned on Mick in his last season.
Biggest issue right now is not Pearson, who appears to have had a bust up with the turncoats at Derby, but a certain Big Sam - who (if the investigation is as it appears to be on video) has disgraced the national flag, the Queen, Alf Ramsey and even Sir Francis Drake.
Incidentally, I would still take Pearson and Big Sam over Walter.
And Steve Bruce.
But not Mick, Stale or Deano.
Tonight's Telegraph is even more horrific (not yet out) - FA are in trouble because they do not have the transcripts, so the FA have to either protect themselves or Sam.
They cannot do both if tonight's news is as expected. Looks like he is toast.
