genuinely don't know what to expect from this game.

forget about united away, that was when mourinho was picking stupid teams, this is city's first real test, we will see how good they are, and we will see how good we are too.

we need to play very well to beat them imo

It could go either way.

I think City can be got at defensively myself, Pep is still instilling his methods there and will not have it down pat for a little while yet.

We have been quite wasteful with chances though, and need to punish them if we get any.

Our defence is largely good, and should be the base we build from, although the CL games have seen us get punished for small errors v Monaco, and let Moscow get begind us far too easily.

City and Spurs fans only if you cannot be sensible

Hence not on the PL board

There has been talk of Son starting up top instead of Janssen, but I would prefer him driving in from outside the box.

I would start Janssen and tell him to try and rough Stones up

I think last night would of taken a lot out of City. Hopefully they'll be feeling the effects over the next couple of days. We've had an extra days rest and have managed the squad well. Resting walker was a bonus. No reason we can't put in a similar performace to last season.

Unbeaten indeed.

I actually wish City had won last night in the last minute.

One thing Pep has been outstanding with is bouncing back from a poor result, he himself says its easier to do his job if things are going wrong as you know what the problems are.

Like everyone else, I think this will be a good matchup, but expect City to win 3-1

3-1 would be a disaster

Will they improve that significantly against us to better their result against Celtic last night? If they do then they are the real deal.

In my opinion they already are the real deal unfortunately

City haven't played a team with a decent defence yet and that includes Man Utd.

I think it will be 1-1 on Sunday.

I really can't call this, I keep switching from confident too nervous that we will get humbled.

I'll plump with a 2 -2 draw

Are City missing Nolito as well?

That might help, will mean Sterling will probably move left (which he isn't as good at playing so far this season)

If you wana correct our facts, try getting your own right first

The fact that we play with our midfielders quite narrow is a bonus as Pep likes to create numerical superiority in midfield.

De Bruyne being out is a huge bonus for us as he's been sensational this season. Silva is still quality but it means there's one less person to drift in between the lines. A lot depends on whether we an try and force Silva and Gundogan to go backwards rather than forwards, make them chase after Dembele (hopefully) and Alli. United just stood off them as per the Boringho tactics and failed miserably. The way to try and reduce the potency of a Guardiola team is to try and rush them on the ball. Even the best players hate being pressured on the ball.

City haven't peaked yet so this is a good time to play them. Still a very difficult game for us though, one I don't see us winning

Did anyone watch the Celtic game last night? I was delighted when I saw City had a fight on their hands.

On the face of it our long trip to Moscow was more daunting than their short trip to Glasgow, but as it tuened out we had a bit of a stroll, rested many potential starters, and have an extra day off.

To me their XI looked like the bulk of the XI which will start against us, so happy days.

How many of Sissoko, Dembele, Dier, Rose will be ready for this match.
Will Walker be back?
Who's going to help Davies?
And who's job will it be to keep Aguero under wraps?
Finally, will N'Koudou start?

All available I think
Yes
Son
Toby
No

If Nolito is out he is a big miss. Very creative and allows Sterling to play on the right.

Will also be a battle between Dembele and Fernandinho, two best midfielders in the league. The winner of that will probably be in the Victorious team.

We had a lot of success pressing them high up the pitch, especially in the first half hour before they got into their rhythm. Was 50-50 so about an hour then we tired and dropped off.

You play that way more often and your guys should fitter than ours, so you could cause them a lot of problems as they looked dodgy at the back.

They will have Stones back who has a bit of composure.

Hooefully you ran the legs off them a bit for us

Where in particular would you say they struggled?
