He didn`t look all that when Celtic lost 7-0 in Barcelona.

Who is thus far yet to appear in a losing team when starting. Great buy.

I know he scored against City last night but if you're playing in a pisss poor league, you're going to score a lot of goals and that's automatically going to raise your confidence, right?

Maybe Janssen would be the same in the SPL?

Anyway, what's done is done.

Said it on the other Spurs thread about him that he's benefiting from regular 1st team football.

“I had a few other offers but I didn’t have the same as what I had at Celtic in terms of football. I think it’s the best place for me to be."

He's reaping the rewards of that decision.

We bought Dedryck Boyata from Citys youths last season, he's 25 now and before he signed for us he had played a handful of first team games and it shows, his development has been stunted.

Dembele won't be at Celtic for long, we'll just enjoy him whilst we can.

Carroll £35m

Never stops being funny!

Carroll despite his injuries did score goals for us unlike Loldado who was relying on penalties just like Janssen

Carroll = 11 goals in 58
Soldado = 16 in 76

Hardly much more effective was he?

Soldado was a Spanish international who was the top scorer in La Liga over the previous 2 seasons.

The guy seemingly had some class, but sadly it didnt work out for him.

Carroll played half a decent season for NUFC in the EPL, scored 10 goals before Christmas and LFC signed him for £35m at a time when Aguero cost £38m.

Loldado relied on penalties. How many of those 16 were pen's?

So we moan when young players move to big clubs for the pay packets rather than the football, then question why they've picked football over the pay packet?

More players need to take his lead. Meanwhile we've still got 24 year old Tom Carroll on our books doing absolutely nothing

But Soldado didn't cost £35m and came from another league. And Carroll had Suarez to help feed him.

You paid £26m for someone in his late 20s and then sold him for £10m

We paid £35m for a young English player but managed to recoup 19m (including loan fees) for someone who was injury prone. Thanks Fat Sam

Out of the 2 Loldado was the bigger flop

Well if you are going to include loan fees ( desperate ) then you should consider that Spurs up front payment for Soldado was £13m with the rest in add-ons. Most add-ons were not paid - Quote from the independent....

"Significantly, the asking price will not be as high as expected as Spurs paid Valencia only £13m up front, with the rest of the fee depending on various targets. But such was Soldado’s minimal impact this term, he is available for around the £13m fee spent on his initial transfer." Same was reported in the Telegraph and Mirror.

Spurs made minimal loss on Soldado .

Liverpool paid £35m, cash. In one big lump on that big lump. WHU reportedly paid £2m loan fee (numerous sources) and then £15m to sign him. So a cool £18m loss on that one

So Soldado cost Spurs significantly less and scored more. Why's he the biggest flop again ?

BTW....you'd better hope penalties count as goals, you've had enough this season already.
