Man United: Romero, Fosu-Mensah, Bailly, Smalling, Rojo, Fellaini, Pogba, Lingard, Mata, Rashford, Ibrahimovic.
Subs: Johnstone, Carrick, Schneiderlin, Young, Martial, Memphis, Rooney.
Good to see Rooney in his best position again
Bit light defensively on the bench...
Hmm. Ideal game for Carrick I'd have thought

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly
Hope he asks Fellaini to stay back and defend.
After Fosu-Mensah display against Northampton, I'm pretty surprised he picked him. But the fact he was on the bench against Leicester kind of tells he trusts him, much more than Darmian.
Fellaini to slow up play in build ups, great
Don't mind Fellaini being given a game. Would've preferred to see either Carrick or Schneiderlin, but, like them, we need him fit in case we get hit with injuries.
Rojo though...
Otherwise, looks like a good side. Wonder if we'll see Jesse or Mata (more likely) play a bit deeper or if it's a 4-2-3-1?
A lot of heavy lifting placed on Pogba. We can't expect Fellaini to move the ball forward fast like Herrera. Pogba is going to have to go hunting for the ball. My worry is this will take him away from the parts of the pitch where he can do most damage.
I suspect Carrick may need to come on to remedy this. Who knows? Fellaini might surprise me.

Don't get the need for fellaini here. He's had plenty of football and will possibly play at the international break. Would have much preferred to see Carrick or even Schneiderlin who have barely played and won't play on international duty.
This is a statement against Rooney

Y no Herrera?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rested I'd imagine. He played 90 mins twice last week. Not many of the others did.
Jose hasn't changed the attacking four + Pogba. Believe he's trying to develop these players as a unit as much as possible. Mkhitaryan will prove to be another piece once he's fully fit.
Anyone think this means Rooney starts on Sunday? Would have liked to see Herrera again just to build on this weekend, hoping for goals today and a lot of them
Swap Carrick for Fellaini and this would be a pretty decent line up.
Hopefully Jose has seen the folly of playing Fellaini and is keeping Herrera fresh for the league games.
