The cheek he got paid for watching it Benny gave up overtime and what's this quality he talks about.
"It was nowhere near good enough - the poorest we've played all season," said manager Phil Parkinson. "I am the manager and I accept full responsibility but that performance lacked energy, lacked spirit, lacked anything we were doing at the start of the season.
"We brought in some extra quality on transfer deadline day but for some reason, since then, we have gone away from the things that were making us so hard to beat.
"I cannot blame the supporters for the reaction at the final whistle. It was entirely right that they should be upset. I would be if I had paid money to watch that."
Dared to peek at the league table. 8th which is no disaster but now 8 points off the top. Worryingly 4 points from the drop zone and that's with a team not scored in 4 games now and no shots on target today. Swindon 20th, Oldham bottom and Millwall 19th next 3 games so no more excuses.
We have Oldham in a couple of weeks at home. Just saying like so you can get your name down now for overtime.
Makes you think somebody took a bung for making those last minute signings they must have got a fortune.
Time to ask the big question again.
What's the plan now Ken did say promotion this season and he'd be able to lure some serious investors. Is there perhaps a plan B for this promotion and investment not happening without a miracle appearing very soon I can only imagine a plan B of dump it and leg it before Ken has to stump up some of Lee's piggy bank money.
Oh hang on PP had a cup run at his old home didn't he ? so all eyes on Tuesday as the day the miracle starts to appear. Expect the usual quotes of using it as a springboard for the league form if we manage it.
There was a ka spotting on the train from Wigan to London after the match apparently. My sources said ken was disappointed with the result.
If he had any sense it would have been a single to London who would want to be come back for Blackpool in the cup. Much better to take in an Opera Tuesday night and get the result in Wednesday's papers.
Slipping down the pecking order on the goal rush too. One of the presenters mentioned one of the Scunthorpe players has scored more than the entire Bolton team.
Its true Morris has scored 12 for Scunthorpe and we have 10 in total.
Josh Morris signed for Scunthorpe on a free from.... Yes you guessed it Bradford last June.
Hands up those that ran away to check.
PP signed on with us on 10th June
Bradford let Morris go for free 16th June
Are you thinking what I'm thinking do you know the answer ?
Here's what I thought like most I imagine
Why didn't Parky get him when he came over to us.
Then I though hang on maybe he doesn't know how to spot and use the potential he must have originally seen. Morris was signed by PP after hitting the back of the net for Fleetwood and various clubs on loan when his contract at Blackburn ran out.
So he had his scoring man but what did he do with him at Bradford he didn't nurture the ability he saw or develop it much as Morris stopped scoring when he went to Bradford scoring 1 in the 13 games he played for them.
Low and behold after PP leaves Morris switched clubs and the goals start to flow again.
Makes you think does PP and his backroom boys have the ability to spot and bring on talent. It's not looking good so far for us on the evidence of his signings and poor Alex must wish he was wearing White shirt with a Ram on it.
We were still in total transfer embargo when Morris signed for Scunthorpe so never in the running. Lost out on the best bosmans it seems as only Beevers and Howard as a back up keeper not number one have been anywhere near worth signing.
We are still under embargo I'm sure Ken could have worked his magic and eased it plus ordered PP to adjust his list with Lee and it would have happened I get the impression PP didn't rate him after he signed him. Probably due to the way he played him !
If Alex gets a game PP will probably expect him to score playing in the current system and drop him for not scoring when the team don't create anything for him by hoofing it and passing backwards
Pasty - a very good read,I hope K.A, doesn't read this
Or P.P. could be out of a job,
I also think it's the way he plays, the defence is certainly better, but not ( clean sheets better ) apart from Moxey, although he does gets forward well.
Maybe he needs another coach / or Two in his back room to sort the midfield / attacking side of our game, because I don't think he as a clue.
Knowing your weakness isn't a bad thing, not knowing is a disaster,
It doesn't take long before the players sense this, and it's all down hill from there .
If he doesn't play Alex against Blkpool he has learnt anything ,if he plays and doesn't score it will be one of two things, he isn't ready yet ( or ) he isn't getting the service . What a win win situation he finds himself in, but is he clever enough to work it out.🤔
I can't wait for the next episode tomorrow even if it is a silly cup. Who will be the chosen ones who have to start from the last performance and what will PP's plan be will he have a plan.
