His kicking is definitely better

--

Not so sure about that, it was awful on Saturday, regardless of how much pressure Swansea had put us under.

Only one game though and he deserves to keep
his place though. As mentioned if you aren't going to give him a fair crack of the whip then what's the point.

As long as he is making good saves and not making mistakes leading to goals then the kicking is not an issue, although there weren't good signs with some of the flaps at crosses. Early days though and he will improve.

You watched a different game to me Neo.

I though he kicked well generally to a red shirt and didn't hold on for 5 mins like Mig does.

Yeah I thought he kicked it just fine myself.

We've watched mig flap at corners etc for a long time now whats the point in just going back to that when we know it doesnt work?! Karius is new to the league and didnt get a preseason due to broken hand, him over mig for the foreseeable future.

De geas first year wasnt great, Reinas wasnt great and he was behind a brilliant defence, goalkeepers dont always come in and become brilliant immediately, people need to lay off as give the man time.

The best managers tend to stick by their decisions or make better ones than others and so I would expect Karius to stay in goal even though he has looked a bit flappy and not had a great deal to do. That is until he drops a massive one and then Mig will be back, hopefully more determined.

Karius is young and very likely to improve with each mistake he makes. Really doesn't bother me that he didn't look fantastic against Swansea, what keeper looks great in every game other than the very very best in the world?

This board is incredibly harsh on goalkeepers. Mignolet was hammered, Reina was hammered and now it's Karius's turn. That's 10 years of goalkeepers.

He's not getting hammered though I've not seen one person say he's rubbish and needs to go, or anything similar. People are making an observation on what they've seen so far, with the acknowledgment that he needs more time to settle in and to prove himself. Nothing wrong with that at all, some of you are being way too defensive.

I've seen some pretty scathing comments from posters term and whilst I'm far too lazy to go and find then you'll be able to find them in the match threads.

Karius hasn't dropped a clanger for a goal yet, although was suspect at a Swansea corner last Saturday. I think he should continue until he gives Klopp a solid reason not to pick him. Hope he has a blinder in our next game!

I was referring to this article, it's been fairly balanced on here. I can't be bothered to go looking either, but generally match threads aren't the best barometer of fans feelings.....

Well that is true and yeah I agree this article is very level headed.

Just sad to see that Karius is judged on tiny events in games rather than giving him 20-30 games in the shirt and assessing the overall performance.

Even then that's not enough for a young goalkeeper who won't be at his best for us for a couple of seasons at least.

I am.not a fan of mig and wanted him.replaced but saying that I felt he had a good start to the season and so far looks better than karius. for that reason I would rather have mig back until.he makes some major howlers.

I think we might stick with Karius.

I do think mingolet will be wondering if decisions are based on performance exactly what karius has done more than him over last 2 weeks.
